I also suspect they are decentralized divided up into 'pirate bands', even though they are very authoritarian. Freyr is destined to die by Surtr's hand in Ragnarök. Yes characters live or die differently from the actual myths given Magni and Moði were suppose to live in myth but dead in game however other characters do still follow myth. Odin, Thor, Baldr, Heimdallr etc all die in myth so should their in game counterparts so Freyr was likely one of the characters they decided we didnt need him and he dies in the myths so lets write him out like hes suppose to go. Granted Freyr in myth also is moved to Asgard with Freya and their father Njördr but thats just different writing for Freya's character growth i suppose.

Prophecy is a funny thing and often shouldn't be taken at face value. Kratos did die, at least the Kratos he used to be. The angry, vengeful and closed off man terrified of his own nature and focused soley on whatever objective he needed to complete died long ago. In his place stands a new Kratos, a man who might even feel himself worthy to be called a god and take pride in his title and position, one day. He's a new man and in that sense he did die by allowing himself to forgive himself and move on from his past, becoming a new man.

To me that told me this is someone who’s been through this situation before. He’s heard all the threats before and knows what he’s saying. It also shows that (like Odin in GOW) he’s impatient and wants to be the one in control. By finishing her sentence he let his true intentions slip.

I found an error. 40:20 that is not the first time sephiroth appears on screen in the present. It is the first time he interacts with the party for an extended period, his first dialogue with them, but the party sees him on screen for the first time in the bowels of the boat on the way to Costa del Sol.

Don't hug me I'm scared is my favorite example of blending humor and horror together, especially in the recent TV series that dropped on channel 4. It's surrealist comedy makes it one of the funniest shows I've seen in a long time, and its fever-dream nightmare style of horror also makes it capable of being deeply unsettling.

Love how the original writers of the God of War hate the Norse duoligy cuz Kratos was supposed to be a bloodthirsty god killer through and through then they made him a sad father with broody anger issues trying to better himself, wtf bro was born to kill did you see the things he's done and how he reacted to murdering his whole pantheon without a word. When he was on his way to the Norselands he shouldn't have found a strong warrior lady that he has a son with that just rewrites his whole character, Odin should've been pissing himself seeing the smolders of Greece on the horizon as Kratos rips apart every obstacle put in his way, not getting along with everyone and bettering himself. (But I'll still admit the writing in the games we got were still good, just kinda weird that its Kratos that's getting the redemption arc idk)

The real tragedy of remaking FF7 is how the first two entire remake games you don't even play as the real Cloud, so *all these supposed new fans STILL aren't understanding how amazing Cloud is as a protagonist to this day,* and they won't fully understand until whatever years from now when the third installment comes out (unless they end up playing the original or spoiling it for themselves) - this alone might be the single biggest reason why separating the game into three different installments was a huge blunder (I mean, besides Tetsuya Nemura'ing the whole thing and completely obliterating any chance of improving on the pacing of the original). 😮‍💨 edit: Also, agreed, Tifa is the real MVP of Cloud's character arc 100% (though these days people gonna argue Aerith will be a big part of it with how convoluted it's getting with the extended lifestream/holy narrative stuff)

With so many people involved in Brok's life, most importantly ours, Sindri probably thought none of this would've happened if we never crossed their paths to begin with. Everything Sindri and Brok did for us was out of respect for Laufey, and because the axe was one of their most famous creations next to Thor's Hammer. But as Brok started to trust us more, Sindri started to Doubt us more. In Ragnarok: Almost every other mission we did, Brok was interested in our accomplishments, amplifying his thirst for adventure and ingenuity. Every gift that Sindri gave us felt like it was underappreciated. He also detested many attempts for Him and Brok to adventure with us, specifically Atreus.
