Bro. Please why are you dont using 400 a more grits on DA? Thank you
Great video , wish we had trucks like this in the uk and could do this kind of thing
Thanks! Look out for part 2 coming as soon as I can finish editing all the footage!
I have a 06 dodge 3500 4x4 dually that has the exact set up you are using from the hellwig sway bar , air bags , BW hitch , and the super hitch i even have the same brackets on the frame as you do that looks like they were for a bed mounted camper and my truck is white also just think its kinda funny how your truck will be a twin to mine almost but i set mine up 10 yrs ago maybe longer any ways good luck
Hey! Yes I have an 11.5 ft. Northland which is about 3800 lbs dry. The frame mount brackets and super hitch with extension are all really good products! What's your setup?
Thank you master !
No problem? Are you going to do this?
Thanks for this video - it was very detailed and very easy to follow, which is just what I was looking for. Nice to see an E60 N54 DIY for the VC, not just the E90, etc
Awesome! Glad it was helpful
You’re worried about a little fuel but not the pine needles that are falling into the intake tubes.
Hey not sure what your talking about, did this a while ago and tried to look back but didn’t see any pine needles falling?
About to try to tighten up that bolt on the water pump to try to fix my issue I’m having a lot of leaking from my cooling system in general and it looks similar to the loose bolt that drains coolant in the video
Hopefully it’s something simple! If not the water pump is a fairly easy job.
@@rebuildrevival I could not get the fan off no matter what I’ve tried everything
@@rebuildrevival thank you though!
Great information, good job!
Thanks appreciate it!
WOW, heavy stuff!
Ya it was!
You have to turn the steering to the left and right and then that light would be disappeared
What tool you use to split it open
I posted a link in the description of the video to one on Amazon. I think they're $10.
Best $10 I spent on my 370z light lens removal!!
Cool video! Nice to see fails, not wins only. I have heard that blending paint is an art. Why didn't you buy a premixed one with testers?
Hey, thanks. The color was mixed based on the factory color code which I figured would be close enough. But, some panels on this car have already been painted including the rear driver door which looks like it has a brownish tint in the clear, might just be from sitting at the auction yard and need some cutting/polishing. I will redo the blend on the roof area if it doesn't look decent with some wet sanding/polishing.
Massive color difference now with the door... Why not blend into the panel? This was a really easy fix and very easy to blend 🤷
I think there is something going on with the door paint, I didn't show it well but looks like it has a brown tint in the clear and is not the factory paint. It may look better with a paint correction. Also, this is my first time painting and I didn't really trust myself to be able to blend very well and didn't want to mess any other panels up.
I can see me upgrading the waterpump even though i replaced mine in the winter during a failure. I upgraded the inline already after my headgasket replacement. But i still have my factory rad on my 04. A highflow rad is on my list but with my eyesight being poor cant use my skills anymore to tackle the mods you had to do for your rad upgrade. Still watched as vids like this show the dedication to the Disco 2 community.
There may be better brands making the aftermarket radiator more of a straight swap, I just didn't want to wait for another one. I'll be doing more videos on this Disco as it's a personal project of mine. Thanks for the comment!
Cool video
1 coat of sealer instead of primer would have been perfect
Pretty good work, looking forward to the next.
Thanks! Definitely not a body guy but it’ll do!
I did a similar procedure on my M5s headlights. I need to bake them again press them together more. I’m getting moisture in them.
What seal did you put back in?
250 is thah i C or F
Fahrenheit
Taking off the Permac-seal can be very challenging and will test ur patience lol! great work on ur porject!
Yes!!! Once I got a technique down it went smooth but not at first! Thanks
Was there a fiber optic cable that you had to transfer over to the new harness, I have a 2015 428i and there’s no fiber optic cable, i see online everyone has a fiber optic cable to transfer over but mine.
I’m trying to think back to that install, I don’t believe so but everything was plug and play and pretty straight forward.
Thank you for your help, how did you get audio from the screen?
@@Alberto10504 the factory AUX input that the car came with
@@rebuildrevival Okay thank you
Hello! Could I ask where did you order solenoid kit?
Hey, I got them from FCP Euro.
My 04 E60 had the exact same problem, driving one day and i just hear a giant clunk, look under the car and my sway bar is dragging on the pavement! We tried our hands at welding a new bracket but lack of proper tools and experience resulted in it breaking again. Ended up just taking the sway bar off, but I think I'm gonna take a crack at it following this exactly, thanks!
Awesome! I haven’t welded with aluminum too much so I had my friend do that part. Just tried to make it a little thicker than factory!
Did your sway bar have the lines built into it ?if so how did you go about removing the sway bar ?
@@bbmanebbmane8926You can disconnect the lines but I didn’t have to, I just let it hang out of the way using some wire.
Oh I thought he completely removed the sway bar all together . Is that something I could do without disturbing the lines on built into the sway bar .
@@bbmanebbmane8926 I actually did, i tried removing the lines to do it but the first one snapped. i ended up just cutting the 2nd line off after it and plugged both with solder. my rear sway bar was also leaking my entire power steering reservoir in a couple of days so i cut those and plugged them as well. i thought it might be an issue and build up pressure or something as i didnt loop the lines but i havent encountered any issues since doing it last summer. honestly couldn’t care less about losing the dynamic stuff since i dont drive crazy in it.
Thanks for this video mate! I’ve always read on Disco 2 forums the Nissen rads were the better rads depending on if you have a diesel Td5, petrol V8 and petrol V8 engine with SAI. Allisport is supposed to be the best rad but that is if you want to pay £619/$787 from here in the UK.
I have also read that about the Nissens, I just wanted to go full aluminum not plastic tanks with the aluminum crumpled on. Let’s see how this one holds up! I’ll be doing a build series on the disco in the future, so stay tuned!
i need only to change the headlights glasses, how long does it take ? when you just changed only the glasses great video 👍🏼
Hey thanks! This was my first time doing this so it took me some time to learn, If I did another set now it would probably take me 3-4 hours if it was just a straight swap not including removal or installation time. One of the things that takes some time is removing the old sealant. Hope this video helps with your project!
@@rebuildrevivalokay thank you,yes the video explanation was great 👍🏼 i’m little bit afraid from the LCI headlights 😅they are more difficult than the not facelift headlights, i’m gonna try it ….
I took four days on my 370z lights - as anytime you’re painting = time to let paint cure in the sun for a solid day!! My girl has the E60 - so this will be the next challenge
Great. Really like your nice cam and mic setups.
Thanks! Glad to hear it
Great job bro! are you a shop? how much will you charge just to replace a radiator?
Hey thanks! You can message me on Instagram and maybe I can help you out.
@@rebuildrevival will do thanks buddy
Amazon sells many other options too. You don’t have to remove anything. Just snap a cover on over the old handles. Prevent broken clips and rattles.
Oh good to know I didn’t see those. I’d rather do it this way so it looks more factory but sounds like a good option for some people.
Do you have a link?
beau travail!!!!!!
Thank you!
Great video! Tank's a lot 😊
Thanks!
Well done man!!
Thanks!
hey. thanks for the video. 250 fahrenheit or celsius?
Thank you for watching! Fahrenheit
What a thorough video, great detail and great result. Maybe protect it with some ppf or a coat. Great video as always
Thanks, they did turn out nice! And yes PPF would be ideal
Sorry about the radiator.Have the same concerns about the oversized radiator. Thanks for the water pump information. I’m getting one. Did the thermostat mod too. Easy. I also got rid of all the plastic hose connectors, switching to all aluminum, including the overflow bottle. Easy to bleed..just start the car and then run it at 2500rpms for a minute. Only need to do it a few times. Nice video.
Hey, I think there may be better fitting aluminum radiators out there. I'll be doing a full off road build on this thing soon so stay tuned!
I love your e60 content.
Yea fr
Thanks, appreciate it! I'd like to do an e60 M5 soon, just waiting for the right deal.
Very detailed work, looks good.
Thanks! They turned out really clean
👍🏼👍🏼
I have to repair my wiring harness as well. Are you using 18 gauge for your repair wire?
Hey! Just seeing this comment. Yes I believe it was 18 or 20.
Thank You! very informative video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think you put the mount too low it’s uneven now
Hey, it’s actually not possible to do that as you have to line it up with the bolt hole that is already on the subframe.
Great work, you have to do one more BMW 5 series with the M54 engine straight 6.
If the right deal comes up I’ll take it!
You’re getting better every time video wise, mechanically you are already better than I’ll ever be ha ha. Good job, keep it up
Thanks appreciate that! Working on cars is easy, making the videos watchable is the hard part!!
Great video as usual, I was wondering what model Milwaukee ratchet you are using.
Hey, thanks again!! It’s this one a.co/d/6BqpVUG
Your video came out right in time, my 535i just started smoking very heavily out the exhaust, clouds of smoke!!!. I pulled out the coils and its covered in oil and spark plugs are flooded in oil. Most likely my pcv system failed and gaskets leaked oil into the engine. I will be doing this today and hope it back up and running. Thank you
Perfect! Hopefully the video can help in some way!
Great channel, just fyi I had many n54s and it’s normal to find some oil in the charge pipe and intercooler system.
Hey thanks! The exhaust was actually smoking pretty heavily, the previous video may not have done it justice. Plus it was leaking around the valve cover gasket so needed to come off anyway.
🔥🔥🔥
Dude you had 83 subs when I subscribed now u have 5k way to go man.
Thanks! I’m really diving in, hope you’re enjoying the content!
Good luck on the flip
Thanks!
