Ok so I did this and they new key fobs unlock and lock but won’t turn the car on 🙁 how do I program it so it turns the car on as well?

My key and remote are on thing…

How I can work with a copy one ,, the key light keeps flashing all the time, now I have just one key to use 😢

2003 Tacoma . thank you for the step by step. I think they sold me the wrong transponder because once I hit the step where I have to press on both lock& unlock then lock, nothing happens. I tried rewrite mode since "add" didn't seem to work. I also programmed my F150 key fob and those work fine. So im going to remove the battery for 5 to 10 minutes to see if that resets anything.

The second time you switched the ignition are you saying press unlock OR LOCK? Please speak slower so it’s easier to understand you. I’ll wait for a reply before I send them back to you for refund.

Couldn’t understand if he was saying push lock and then unlock each time or if you just needed to push one or the other. Not working on my 06 element

Did it also program the key chip or you gotta still get the key chipped with a scanner tool

I admit, I'm sometimes skeptical. This video seemed too easy. I bought 2 fobs off Amazon, watched the video, then took the laptop with me and sat in the vehicle and had them both programmed in less than 10 minutes. Nice job on video. Clear and concise. Thanks!!!!

I got two toyota keys similar to rav4 2010 key, although the rav went into programming mode but the key failed to work. The key has 4 buttons instead of 3, it was maybe on a camry. Any ideas.

He’s saying “press lock OR unlock on the remote”. It doesn’t matter which one you choose.

What if you can’t turn the ignition

How about a Mazda 5 2012 that has only a metal key with a black plastic base ... no buttons. Opens doors and goes into ignition but will not turn. When I put a paper clip into a tiny hole, a piece comes out the base. It has a small black cube in it. I think she lost the actual fob with buttons. Thanks for ANY advice. She is a homeless lady, 63, living in her van.

What a good time, today you gotta go to a dealership and pay unnecessary money for them to reprogram your keyfob

For some reason by fob stopped working on my 2007 rav 4. The red light however was still showing on the fob when pressing a button. Reprogramming fixed it, thanks a lot!

Yes, worked for my 2008 fit as well. Saved me $172.00, which is what my local Honda dealership quoted me to program the remote. What a joke. Took me two minutes. Thanks much!

Do you needctonuse the original ignition key or can you use the copied ignition key

2002 Tacoma. Remote is FCC ID: BAB237131-056. Goes into programming mode, then on the remote I hold lock/unlock for 2 seconds, then hold lock for 1 second. The locks then lock/unlock twice indicating failed registration. I’ve tried 30 times, and still it fails. Any idea how to remedy this? Do I have the wrong FCCID number? I also tried a remote with HYQ12BBX / HYQ12BAN, but that one doesn’t respond after the truck goes into programming mode. Help, please…

What he said at the end there was very important in my case which is not readily available if you just do an Internet search of programming a Fob. That is that if you don't have the original fob handy, you must clear the prior programming. Not knowing that hung me up for a bit. Great video, Thank you.
