    I made this video 2 years ago. This machine is still running excellent! And, let it be known, there was a design flaw in the clutch. He sent me a new (improved) clutch at no charge. Good man, good company.

      What was the flaw? I bought one about 6months ago and just wondering if I have the flawed one or the updated one. I’ve only gotten to use it a couple time but about to put it to work with deer season coming up. Love it though

    If you really want to sell your products properly you need to make much better quality videos to showcase them in action. Not a bunch of jumping around and can't see the cutting action clearly

      Claude - Thanks for the constructive criticism but, I don't spend money on advertising and presently sell these machines faster than I can build them. All of my videos are from customers that have voluntarily submitted the videos because they enjoy the time savings this machine has given them doing this mundane task of trail maintenance. www.stoutdesignsllc.com

    • @stoutdesigns7495
      @stoutdesigns7495 Před rokem

      Customer re-inforced front suspension and rack of ATV so he could add the 6th blade to cut at approximately 8'-0". 6th blade is a "Bolt On" option to all of my units assuming your ATV suspension and rack can safely handle the weight. Typically I only sell the 6-blade units for SXS as they can handle the additional weight and need the extra height. The blades were just a trial of of an aftermarket blade. The aftermarket blades turned out to be a bust as they're much thinner (.09") than the factory blades (.135") and 1" smaller in diameter. www.stoutdesignsllc.com

    I could see using this unit on the front end of a tractor but never on a 4x4 or side-by-side...... Good Grief! The branches that you cut off have to go somewhere and they're going to go in your path or in your face one of the two! It would be nice to see a version that had its own quick attachment device instead of using palette forks because then you have to deal with the fork sticking out there catching all the branches. And what drives this, unit the tractor hydraulics or does it have its own hydraulic system? There was no sound in this video at all so that kind of ruins the video because it would be nice to actually hear it working. Big question is what country of origin is this thing manufactured and what is the price of this unit? If it's manufactured in China, well that just pretty much ruins it right there, for any Patriot that loves America this day and age!

    Wow, what a MAN! No cab, no ROPS, no roof, helmet, no safety glasses, no cares. (no PPE) Good thing those spinning blades have no chance of shattering or breaking and the overall design forces all debris to fall forward!

    You should make one with blades on each side that pivot down to cut deafall. Add a plow to the front and you can blaze a trail anywhere. What could possibly go wrong? *edit: forget the plow, put a chipper on there. Groomed wood chip paths in one pass.

    If this was ment to be an advertising video it is terribly made. Not having sound is very important to be able to hear the saws cutting and if they are struggling and under powered. I was interested in this product and this video is bad. Who would film in portrait mode. Hire a professional and you would sell more saws.

    It is interesting to see the advantages of being able to lift the saws to deal with the overhanging limbs and trees. Plowing into dense vegetation, unable to see what lies ahead, is a safety concern(?)

  • @Rasteell
    @Rasteell Před 4 lety

    Interesting video but it leaves many questions unanswered. - How long does it take to stop the blades turning in an emergency situation? - How does it affect the weight distribution on an ATV? - Should there be a counterweight on the back of the ATV? - What are the maximum slopes and side slopes that an ATV can work on? - Will the blades jam if they encounter a piece of wood too large? If so, what happens within the driveline? - It appears that the operator does not have a clear view of the material about to be cut. If he encounters a large rock, there will be bits of shattered saw blades flying in all directions. What protection is built in for the operator?

I'm stuck with it now. In any event, one of our cousin RV clubs has bought one of these saws and our club will learn from their experience before pulling out our wallet. Cheers.

    • @stoutdesigns7495
      @stoutdesigns7495 Před 4 lety

      @@Rasteell No problem. I think you will be impressed. Is it perfect? No, but it really makes fast work of trail grooming. Additional counter-weighting may be required depending on the ATV. The TRAILBLAZER weighs 130 lbs. and about 65% of it is off center. I typically add weight to the back of my ATV if i know i'm going to cut on off camber terrain. I also make a quick stop brake (less than 2 seconds) that can be added if you need it in your area. I have sold very few of them.
