I’m starting to get tired of everybody doing these kinds of videos … these great fines on Amazon… Fill in the blank …to just get people to click on their Amazon links so that they get paid from Amazon!!!! Does anybody ever actually do crafting videos where they’re actually making things… I miss the days when you could go on CZcams and watch a crafting video and not be bombarded with click my link for this. I had to smile at your love/hate relationship with Glossy Accents comment, mainly in light of the Tim Holtz stencil you used. I have a love/hate relationship is with his stencils. I love the designs, but I hate that the width of the pattern part isn't enough to cover a 4-1/4" wide panel. Most of them at least seem to be more in the 3+/-" range, which I've never understood. I always seem to be left wanting more. LOL Sigh! Anyway, I love how your stenciling came out. That "rough" edge along the top is perfect! Great card design overall, too. Thank you for sharing. Beautiful card, Christina! When I saw the inside sentiment after you first stamped it, I thought, uh-oh, because I could see you hadn't finished it. So I'm glad you caught that before sending it off. :) Anyway, I love the color scheme you used. I would never have thought of pairing light grey with gold, but it works. Great job on the bow, too. Love This! Definitely going to try the Emboss resist with watercoloring and the stencils. Great to revisit old techniques too!

Wonderful video, Christina! One tip for watercolor brushes is not to leave them sitting in water. It will eventually loosen the glue that holds the bristles/hairs in the metal ferrule & cause them to fall out. It can also bend the hairs to where it pretty much ruins the brush. The best thing to do is clean it by swishing it in the water & then wipe it gently on a cloth. When you are done with using the brush, lay it horizontally on its side with the hair part hanging over the edge of your desk/table/shelf/etc., & let it air dry. You can also have it with the brush head end slightly tilted down - still hanging over the edge of the surface. The important part is not to bend the hairs by having them support the weight of the brush. I usually just rinse my brush, then (if I will still be using it during that crafting session), just lay it on its side onto a cloth until I need it again. If I'm using watercolors, I don't think I've ever had to wash the brush under running water with soap. As far as watercolor resist, I would personally recommend testing out your watercolors with the embossing on a scrap piece. I did that technique for four holiday cards last year, and the watercolor I used ended up staining my white embossing. :( I tried wiping if off with a damp cloth, but that didn't work. I ended up having to do the iron-off embossing technique to lift off the stained heat embossing. The cards still weren't perfect, but I went with them anyway. But, lesson learned. Anyway, thank you for sharing these techniques. I also think you are a great teacher. Take care, & have an awesome day! :)
