nesselhauf is right. I have viewed a dozen of these to glean as much info as possible. You put impeller in clockwise which is wrong. It is to be put in spinning counter clockwise. Fortunately for you the shaft spun it in to place in the counterclockwise position. If you are viewing this for information. Put the impeller in so it turns counterclockwise. Obviously when installed it will turn clockwise as you look at it from the side that will be facing up. When you take your old one out, notice the orientation. However, if really old, some of the fins may be flipped and facing the wrong way.

25 ftlbs will snap those impeller 1/4" bolts off

Easier just to remove sway bar. Might as well change the sway bars while a persons at it anyway.

The passenger front slides forward. The driver side wouldn’t make sense with steering wheel limiting the slide/fold function.

Relocating the upper arm with that mod works great. Glues the car to the road.

So what your sayin by stating that it has a DZ alternator is that a Dual Package ordered car in this case Z28/RS, Is a Z28 with a RS Trim/Interior/Hide Away package added. So only 302 4sp 12bolt drivetrain and handling package, Never Air, Never any other drive train options. That it wouldn't/couldn't be a RS 350 Turbo, W Air and a Z28 handling package. I was never sure what package dominated, as also with the RS/SS. In the sellers story, How do you go from being "King Of The Streets" to RnR a 307/350 2Brl Engine and sayin "GOOD Enough"? If that was the EGO message you n your car were puttin out, IT Never would have happened. It would have parked in 75 with a Windowed block before that RnR happened. I'd buy the car but he could keep the story.

Thanks I have seen three ways to do this and the fastest and easiest is just pull the gear box and get it off and back on I have done it three times and yours is by far the hardest fyi

thats so strange i have almost 5-6 inches of clearance on my 04 3500

Once you get it running right you are going to really enjoy driving it

You are going to want to relocate the AYC pump into the trunk it is currently located by the rear right tire and over time the pump will go bad from dirt and road salt

The tank in the back right corner is for the AYC pump which is basically the traction control

AWC you can select between tarmac gravel or snow
