Dunno why he keeps knocking, you can see no-ones in. 🤭
Never seen moulding process done with non-vacuum but with pressure. This is so cool!
What is the costing sir
You ever have one pop on you?
Exelente trabajo,desde Argentina!!!
Damn that's gonna be one hell of a security camera 😂
you can use that skill to make protective glass domes for dildo cam manufacturing..
Good information sir
Awesome, now if I can only figure out how to do this at home in a miniature version LOL
I found this video because I was had basically the same idea for making dial covers for vintage radios and figured someone must have done it before. I’m planning to build a mounting plate with an air compressor fitting built into the center. I want to use a ring that can be screwed down to the mounting plate rather than clamps. Probably will pre-mount everything before heating. Then pull out of the oven, attach air compressor hose and add pressure slowly with the regulator until it reaches the height I want (only a centimeter or two). Smaller bubbles will cool pretty fast, but the mounting plate will retain heat so I probably won’t want to remove air pressure until the mounting plate is also cooled.
@@JimmyTownmouse Fascinating. Good luck with your project! It's so weird that I can't find anything like it pre made online or offline. But hey if you want something 9 out of 10 times you'll have to make it happen yourself :)
This was really cool! I just happened upon this and was intrigued because I wanted to make a flying saucer for Halloween. Finally decided a hard craft would be too difficult p/expensive and so I designed an inflatable UFO made out of plastic colored tablecloths from Party City and melted the seams together with an iron. 10 ft diameter. Anyway, It’s hard to tell, but I think the clamps may be holding a ring down. I actually saw a CZcams video about a guy that was making a scale RC model of a WWII fighter aircraft and was intrigued by how he went about making the cockpit canopy. Maybe you could find the video. Anyway, if you heat any metal as part of the process, excess heat ‘may’ be transferred to the plastic and melt or warp it. Just a thought.
I looked and couldn’t find the ‘exact’ RC canopy project on CZcams , but I found many other plastic canopy projects by searching ‘ Build plastic model airplane canopy.’
Here’s a video of small scale that might work for the radio faces: Free blow molding by Irwin Kao
My greetings good job What is the appropriate temperature for forming sheets of polycarbonate in this way
Plan your work and work your plan. you two have your timing down. dancing with tools.
Could this potentially pop? Seems dangerous without some sort of protection?
Is this also possible with Polycarbonate?
How much thickness decrease has the Acrylic plate shown after blowing? According to my calculations it should be ca. 50%.
How i can contact you guys
Could you make one in the sice of a large person that fits perfect in...and how much would it cost,
how much does it cost and wher do I get it
darth vader helmet
And out flies a new Bell 47 helicopter.
can i work for you...XD...i want this kind of art to make awesome stuff :D...thanks for sharing
Hey Everyone on CZcams: How about less music and more technical information imparted in your technical videos?
Amen. Wow, this music was especially hideous.
Wow awesome work
Super !!!
Very super very nice👍
What is the name of that browen Sheet
👍👏👍
Do the air u pump in need to be hot?
Petg no acrylic
I did something similar with Perspex and an electric bar heater when at secondary school back in 1969/70, but air blowing down into an elongated elliptical mould, to make the ‘cockpit’ dome for a large scale model aircraft...
You need fans to cool at correct height
It's always neat to see how people figure out how to do stuff like this.
I wonder what it's going to be used in.
25 min, but on what temperature
What kind of glass do u use???
Will be Polycarbonate or Plexiglass (Acrilic)....
Hello guys!!! Your job is absolutely amazing!!! What kind of glass do u use??
Acrylic
Do you start with a square / oblong sheet and cut a circle out of it, or can you get circular sheets ?
You might be able to purchase from a local sign company
What's the biggest diameter dome you could make?
Really cool. You need safety glasses though!
