Hey guys! My name is Rob, and welcome to my channel. I grew up working in my dad's pattern shop, where we made wood patterns for foundry castings. In my high-school years, I took an interest in furniture making, and still enjoy doing it to this day.
After graduating college and getting my degree in Industrial Arts, I went to work for my dad full-time. It was during this time that I got a behind-the-scenes look into manufacturing that most people never see. At the shop, we made wood patterns, assembly fixtures, shipping fixtures, trim jigs and all kinds of components for local industry. We were the ones making the tooling that allowed industries to make their products.
Whether it's woodworking, yard work, home-improvement, or something completely different, I always have a project going. This channel is dedicated to those projects, and sees them through from start to finish. Thanks for your interest in "The Shop," and I hope you enjoy its content!

very cool 🙌
hi, just watch your video.Great job. I have the same boat and want to built same insert and motor mount. do you have the plans and measurments for sharing with us please
Nice mitre around the siding! Look great man!
Now coming back to this video, is there anything that you would do differently??
Bought it, it's amazing and perfect! The settings are epic. BUT, the switches & motor are cheap chinese thin plastic that will 100% break on brittleness.
Very beautiful. Good Work👍
I want this in my home
Yep.
I wonder if the plastic components are the type that become refreshed quite easily when glazed over with a torch??
I don't mean this sarcastically either. I am referring to when they go over the chairs in the stadiums with a torch and the plastic basically renews from the sun damage and bleaching. 😊
Your wife must appreciate so much that you do so much around the house. So many men have the skills but just dont have the motivation to make their home the best they can. I never understood that. Of course your home should show the best of your efforts, not the least!!
My OCD would kill me with that 1 panel that bent
Hi there 😊 What measurements were used here?
Nothing to it but to do it!
Like how you left the handrail post long. Makes for easy grab as you turn the corner going up or down. Things to consider for 5-10 seconds on a build.
I like it. Especially the siding shim block cut perfectly.
Went from a hot tub to a hooker cooker😅
That one board is warped 😢 nice job
Concrete will not srick without rebar
Glad to see that someone is keeping that old school woodworking equipment to use.
Looks good brother
you didn't show us how to use the soap dispenser or how much soap to put in it. Very poor video
Good song
Why didn’t you try to straighten up that one deck and board on the left-hand side. That really took away from the look of it.
How many Lumens is this light?
Very satisfying to watch. I’m normally the one doing the work. 😂
was just looking into this match. Thanks
Good job is great to do a work with the cheaper tools
Homie look like he get freaky lmao
Nice job. I would have used a sprayer as I usually do.
Great work. Dumbest fucking song I’ve ever heard in my life.
One step on that plastic spike in our soil, and it's a goner.
That's awesome! Could you tell us the exact dimensions of the wooden board?
Hell yeah
This is awesome!
Looks amazing
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ KICK A$$ JOB DOG ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great attention to detail. Did more than I would have in some areas 😅
Too enclosed for me but it's nice 😅
Fantastic job great quality work brother!!!
You did that sir
Hi there very good set up , just wanted to know How many LB is that trolling motor
Thank you! It's a 55 lb. thrust.
What if you want different siding
I would have to disconnect the post from the block, then remove the block from the wall.
Make it different
Ghetto colors 👎
I like how u cut that 4x4 to the pattern of the siding that was a nice touch
Can you start having a disclaimer at the beginning saying “Not all men can do this”?? My wife watched your videos and now wants you projects done. 😂 great work!
Lol, thanks man! Much appreciated.
anyone can do this with a little reading and ability to learn ...might not be perfect the first time ....im not a chef but i cook dinner every day
Everytime I start mine an get the high an low perfect it'll die after prolly 2min of use. Can't figure it out?
How far does the water stream travel, i.e., 20ft, 30ft, etc.?
I like rigids stand better only because the rollers extend further. But the power supply on this one is a plus.
Can finally pump the wife in peace
Fantastic!
