    What clutch are you running? I'm 220lbs and mine shakes like hell on acceleration, I feel like it's the clutch struggling to lock up, but it's also a cheap clutch.

    Also a suggestion for what to do after we've upgraded our karts is to use objects like workout cones and rope or balls of socks lol to create race or training courses and see who can do the fastest laps.

  • @Mike_Greene
    @Mike_Greene Před 2 lety

    Dang after watching your video again and seeing you drifting, I'm thinking of putting the wheels back on. But then I'll lose the chance at raising the frame, to ride on the lawn, with the bigger wheels

  • @Mike_Greene
    @Mike_Greene Před 2 lety

    I went from the stock 36 on the drifter to ezip400 wheels with the disc brake and 60t(?) Sprocket and I can feel the 2-3 or so mph speed difference. But it's much more fun to be able to hit the throttle and take off fast! I'm using brushless controller w reverse. Using a throttle that has both an on of button that I use for/connected to reverse and a "3 speed" switch that connected to the controller. I just wanted to see if I could use the thumb throttle with 48v because the kart is so compact, it's uncomfortable using the for throttle. Especially when turning because for high speed turns, I have to extend my turn side leg. (And not is THAT a workout lol legs and an workout, also arms as holding on is also challenging.)

    I still have the original 97cc and the bike rarely gets used. I'm wondering if, after upgrading to the 212cc Predator, if the single disc brake is sufficient for the additional speed?

    • @zach_wolfe

  • @tammykletecka4116

    Why didn’t you just use lithium power tool batteries? Just saying,

    • @zach_wolfe
      @zach_wolfe Před 2 lety

      Power tool batteries are extremely limited in size and therefore have low (amp hours / ah) which equals short run times. The batteries I used are 12v 12ah batteries. Most power tool batteries are 3ah or less regardless of volts.

    • @zach_wolfe
      @zach_wolfe Před 3 lety

      I did not replace the chain. As mentioned in my parts list, you need to get a dual D-bore sprocket for a #25 chain (Ebay about $7). I used the original chain, but depending upon the motor mounts you made, you might have to get a longer one to make it fit your setup.

      The stock tires are 15x6. I replaced my worn knobby tires with smooth lawn & garden tires from walmart.com for around $18 ea since my riding was exclusively on pavement. If you still want knobby tires for dirt and off-road, then search for knobby 15x6 tires online. Happy riding.

      Derek Iwasiuk I’m sure you would need some buggy modifications but don’t see why it couldn’t work. Assuming you get it, your top end speed would be substantially better than the Ground Force because the wheels are larger. Let me know if you go for it!
