It's more pay to skip than win. High spending players don't affect my experience at all as you can see from my videos. You can do everything without spending. People with this opinion usually don't have a full understanding of the entire game. I welcome some actual reasoning for your comment instead of the trollish rudeness to have a conversation. I would normally just remove comments that don't have anything of substance but this is a subject I like to correct whenever I can.

Ideally 4pc Vithus and pretty much whatever you want for the rest but 4pc Baron's is going to be the best usually. It just doesn't help on bosses though so having a 4pc banquet or something to go with it also is good. Sets don't make or break out builds usually. There is a new build and Paragon setup I am trying to get s video out on. It's back to Primary builds again. Infinite WW is viable of course but out fastest build is a Frenzy Firestorm build using the Oustlak helm essence (new Chained Spear and a Gloom Cask proc the Firestorm damage too). I haven't been able to make any videos lately but so have a few ideas so hopefully a couple more soon regarding most recent all around PVE build and some more PVP stuff.

I've been saving eternal gear since the day the they released, have a full stash tab of them. No matter how bad the stats were I have saved them just in case. When I got a better piece with the same Eternal Affix I would replace the one in stash and extract it. I'd say about a month old these pieces are.

They stack up, you won't see the number changed on the piece of gear itself but you'll see the stacked % on the skill Tooltip for Sprint. Each affix gives 25%, can stack up to 4 times.

Haha! Funny you say that, though I don't think I'm squishy in this particular match. Whenever I died it was 1v3/4 and their best killer was always near. But the matches I get put in I'm usually not as strong as everyone else, they'll have 1-2k more reso, and 3k+ secondaries (although I've gotten some good upgrades since then). It shows you the ranks on the scoreboard of everyone at the end, if you weren't aware. It's not really as important as maybe some might be thinking. It's always shown the ranks on the people's portraits. You don't get matched by your rank. With that said though, let's assume I was bronze and everyone in the whole match was bronze, what about "lower" ranks negates good decision making, spacial/map awareness, and good reaction to the flow of battle and your team's choices? I know plenty of amazing pvpers at different ranks. It's a fallacy that rank = skill, full stop. Also, that mindset takes away from constructive discussion rather than trying to pin things on noobs or being overpowered.

It's funny you say that because I get that often lol. I swear I've had nothing but a vast majority of decent matches since the game came out! BUT, there are DEFINITELY people MUCH stronger than me in a lot of my matches. They aren't 7k whales, but that means the match making is working for me. I sit around 2.4k res and my secondary stats are 2700-2800 with my Arm Pen around 3050-3100 (depends as my gear/gems change). I always check the opposition at the end of the match. I commonly see the top 4-5 players at ~4.5k res and their secondaries average almost 4k all around. They have a few thousand more damage and tens of thousands more life. Played against a necro that had 2 of his stats over 5k and 5k res. Playing against players at that level is satisfying, at least for me. I believe I'm doing something right if I can hang with players that strong. So super whales once in a while, but I'm usually the underdog even in "fair" match ups.

​@@user-oe3ud1bj2w No that's definitely not the case, I mentioned how many of them have all 3k+ secondaries, like the MVP of the enemy team in this match, I don't have that. In my video before this there were multiple enemies with 4k+ secondaries and a few that had pumped up 5k+ for 2 or 2 secondary stats and the rest over 3k. But either way softy isn't exactly fair when I'm around the same strength of who I'm fighting, you know? Like I also mentioned, I'm still usually the underdog in stats all around compared to the enemy. I don't think that invalidates my performance which is what it sounds like you're saying.

Hey thanks for watching! Dauntless is a good skill. I'll explain why I would try not to pair it with the new Chained Spear though, for a few reasons. They are both knockbacks so targets will become resistant quicker. And since in PVP the knockback can only knock players back every 3 seconds, that's only once per cast, maybe twice and that's assuming you stay near the target. You lose out on a damage buff from the legs (Buried Talons essence). And since the new Chained Spear keeps up the 19% damage buff each time it ticks it's almost 100% uptime. Personally, for PVP, I find the radius of Dauntless to be smaller than I would like. Which is the opposite for the new Hammer of Ancients off hand. Clattersteel HoA hit radius is actually a little bigger than the animation looks which is a pretty decent size. Then there's my explanation on how Clattersteel works at the start of match #2, that is a big deal even though it may not seem like it. It makes retreating to bandage easier since the hammers are still falling behind you (and also the Sprint fire in my build specifically). I attribute my better performance lately to dying less than 3 times. BGs just opened up actually and 1st match of the day was 11-2-17 MVP (also got 2 badges for working idols which is impi to me). But if you have something working for you go for it. Just at least consider the advice. And again, thank you very very much for your time :)

​@@glowyrm i think you missing something , chain spears actually pull in , and Dautless temper not only knock back ( just alil bit and i use helmet so my range is quite good) its also the best skills canceller . enemies cannot dash or using skills.

@@dvvvvd2221 Chained Spear is a cancel also on pull in, it counts as a knockback still so double dipping reduces the effect since they implemented diminishing returns on CCs I'm not saying it's bad at all just to be clear. I'm just explaining my reasons. I think the head and legs are important slots since they have effects available only to them. Another clarification is that I'm comparing it to Clattersteel. It's speed of ticks is faster so hits are more likely. It will get about 5 more ticks with the same attack speed.(Dauntless can run by players and not hit if they've just been knocked back recently or if it's in-between ticks). The rest are things I've mentioned, radius already larger, slow effect, and the main reason is the trailing of the animation which makes following me dangerous. On paper I see it doing the same thing and more but faster and for more ticks per cast and that itself has multiple advantages. I would like to see your setup and compare so maybe I can try out exactly what you're doing if you had the time to let me know or maybe record something?

I'm actually not sure what you meant, I'm sorry. It is broken in the sense that it's an insanely passive output build playable with 1 finger lol.

@@user-jz6ye4ye1o of course it can. It's pure passive damage. You don't even have to do anything. But you also named 3 completely different types of content that all require sometimes completely different. I wouldn't claim this is for challenge rifts but I do believe the HoA essence has a place in helping push content where you don't want to get touched. But anything hard, you literally can't die with the new HoA essence. I stood in a challenge rift today ~1000 under CR and the mobs couldn't touch me with all of the constant knockbacks and stagger.

Hey thanks for watching. Sure I'll let you know what I'm currently running. Now I don't usually make content about very well known, popular, or what would be considered meta builds because there's already better people than me doing those. I like to tinker and theorycraft and change up play styles. Like the Throw Barbarian isn't exactly meta but it is a known way to play albeit a bit outside the norm. So my build will reflect that kind of. I'll just list the esssenses here.and the skill load out. SPRINT CHAINED SPEAR HAMMER OF ANCIENTS WRATH OF THE BERSERKER It's a Primary Attack based build with Lacerate. So that means it's half old school half inferno 6 stuff haha. Rending Bite and Ardent Fervor main hands. Nature's Temper shoulders because with any Primary build it's an insane damage increase, but it also is what pushes Bergbreaker to its full potential after the buff it received in the last patch (video on that coming super soon just to spread the word). Brace of the Ancestors head, making Primary Attacks AoE. This isn't explicitly necessary and can be switched to something like Oustlak for Firestorm but I'd say you need a Gloom Cask and a Roiling gem to make that worth it. The new Chained Spear and Gloom Cask will benefit from it. Or Lasting Hate to increase Wrath duration. Chained Spear and this Hammer essence synergize very well due to the way the Hammers land behind you, where you were, and only on top of you when you don't move as much. So with CS pulling mobs in as you run Hammer is powerful and will get a few hits as you move by. Bergbreaker is very strong now, stronger than Sundered Legacy strictly based on damage assuming you can proc retaliations yourself, hence the Nature's Temper shoulders. But that doesn't take into account the mechanics behind the burn aura, like running through mobs without having to worry about retaliations (in my experience you'll be procing them just fine without doing it yourself all the time). Firestorms, it's a DoT so duration increases it's damage and it can also be detonated/resolved with Lion's Mane essence from the Demoralize Detonate build. I use 4pc Vithus, 2pc Banquet, 2pc Baron's. Vithus is kind of something I would say everyone can always benefit from. But the rest of the set you can do whatever you like. Any other questions let me know. Thanks again!

I don't know if you saw the gameplay video of the build I was using with the essences I went over in these 2 videos, but I have a faster and actually does much MUCH more single target damage with still having the passive damage from the new Chained Spear and Hammer of The Ancients. So that should be out tonight, hope you check it out when you have a chance!

*Edit* Just wanted to say it sounds like I'm coming off defensive but I'm not like that. This is the internet though and hope no one takes anything the wrong way. I only mean to clarify where I'm coming from with videos. My channel description says it best :) Thank you! Yeah I don't disagree and I do understand the value of speed obviously. There's nothing I'm not actually aware of. I've mentioned in other comments that it was more just for fun and as I explain below, to help people that aren't strong have an easier time with specific content. But also it's still just fine for a few types of content. Things like Trial of the Hordes, Helliquary bosses it does fine on, and also good in Terror Rifts/Oblivion Pillars/Hell Bounty's since you don't need to move fast (I know people want speed in rift but it's really not strictly necessary). I know there are some that struggle with some of the new content still and this is safe with all of the passive CC. All that aside, I DO have a video coming where I have Sprint in for actual open world stuff almost done that I like as well. Also a video about Bergbreaker since the buff yesterday, it's crazy strong now.

I'm ok with 50ish run speed but of course that's a valid point. I'm not usually running around large areas like this in actual practice. But it's an easy swap to put Sprint in for the Cleave without any essence changes necessary. The more important reason is the way Chained and this HoA works when moving. Spear pulls something in and you run by, Hammers drop behind but then move with you again, can end up leaving mobs behind without the Cleave ticking on top of you and DoTing with Bleeds. But if the need arises or I'm just able to kill everything fast enough with no issues then Sprint is a quick swap. Also, it's just fun :) It's nice having 2 passive knockbacks as well but that's situational of course (the hammer drops have a stutter effect on mobs only). Yeah the loss of Sprint is a hard choice but I've been running Ranger paragon so between that, the size from WB, and movement speed stats on some gear, I'm averaging moving like 55% which isn't terrible (still not Sprint, I know). I want to drop the Cleave spirit since it's not being affected by the Attack Speed from normal Wrath that I'm playing around with, but it's what gives me the bleed for Falling Thunder. I probably don't need that extra damage for this kind of farming though so I may swap it right now. I always have my Lacerate Bleed too if I do a Dungeon or something, also could rely on other people's bleeds. But hey, this is what I do. I play with nutty builds. I leave the vids for the min/max builds to people like you :) (Obviously I'm aware of them and use them, I just like to constantly switch things up).

@@rakbasallote3725 Craine is THE man when it comes to Barb-centric videos. I AM ONE OF HIS #1 IMMORTAL NERDS! I just talk about wonky synergies that are fun, or work great in certain situations like in Terror Rifts, you really don't need too much speed once you know where you're going and this kills grouped up mobs instantly. But yeah the fact Craine came over here to talk to me is amazing :) Oh 1 last thing. If the Sprint Crit helm essence actually worked I would feel much better about having Sprint all the time (because I'm almost certain it isn't working correctly like many Essences recently that they had to fix if you look back over the bug fix page). For now I put it on in Dungeons.

Hey, thank you for sharing your experience! At the very least, it's interesting :). I think that it could still possibly have value for certain players/circumstances. For instance... Newer characters, or a class change looking for some quick essences. Could be good for right when someone moves into a new difficulty and needs some gear from that difficulty, but their character is lacking strength and maybe there are no good events rewards and they didn't prepare or prefarm. This crazy method is easy, safe, and technically really fast as long as you aren't super unlucky. I added it to my list of "things to do for a little while each day" (of whenever I'm on). Like a few Tower runs, and now maybe 30 minutes of this, hehe. And once again, thank you so much for watching and for sharing! It means a lot.

Really appreciate you taking the time to let me know, made my night :) I must say I did not discover this, I heard some people mention it and thought there was no way it worked. But then I tried it out a day or so ago and I got a out 5-6 Legos in about 20 minutes. I wasn't really trying for super speed so I'm sure it's possible to do better. That's an average though, sometimes you'll go 15 minutes without getting a Breach Portal to spawn after killing Lasal. But on average from my few runs you could probably get 15-20 per hour unless you have a bad luck streak. Thanks again!
