This choir sounds like the choir on Aretha AMAZING Grace Album
Several of the people singing in this choir are in fact some of the same people singing on the original recording of the Amazing Grace album.
Amen
What did the Bible say about homosexuals in the gospel market?
It said, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. Matthew 7:5
@@ryansmall5750 i'm still trying to tell you that reverend Cleveland infected his stepson with HIV during the gospel music workshop of America's conventions when he was still alive.
I can't stop listening to this version of Great Things.
Edna tatum has one of the best voices in the gospel music industry. Does anybody know what church this is i dont think that this is cornerstone baptist church
It’s GMWA LA Chapter’s last CD & video recording 15 years ago, done at Southern MBC Los Angeles
Steven richards
YESSSSSSS🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Man that's back in the day.
this was Reverend Cleveland's last group that he recorded with before he transitioned. The messenger started going on tour in 1983 although they were organized on October 2, 1982. According to an interview with business manager: mother Natalie Cleo Harris , Harris states that the first rehearsal was on October 2, 1982. Harris also stated that there were 75 people present at the first rehearsal.
Pastor, Elder Eugene Bryant, you are missed sooo much. Thank you for your love, loyalty as a friend n mentor, and all of the wisdom you imparted my way to help make me the woman I am today. I love you Pastor. Rest well in Heaven King. 💙
Sound good brother
Excellent
Don’t forget Mrs. loud in the crowd Johnny Pearl. All right this person all right that person. Every James Cleveland event, or GMWA event in LA, she’s always there. That’s what I call loud in the crowd
I'm class of 88. Upload more please
James is jamming THOSE drums while playing crafty(so so great) on this powerful song.
Come to the National GMWA Convention and you will hear our young people sing this. They do this song on Good Ole Days night. And the place is PACKED on that night.
Where can I download this song???
Not sure it was recorded
This was composed by Professor Craig Hayes who is in charge of GMWA YYA. He is in Trenton, New Jersey.
That’s my pastor talking. The lake great Reverend Eugene Bryant new Philadelphia missionary Baptist Church. The person who was talking about all of the memories of the Cleveland singers, that was my pastor. RIP Reverend Bryant, he will be dearly missed.
powerful
WoW there will never Be another m.c. like EDNA TATUM 👍🌈👍
Sang Wayne Anthony! Thank you Quaford Coleman for shouting that! LOL
Beautiful!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
There will never be another Rhodena Preston, or Edna Tatum. I just like seeinf Rhodena hands glide across ivory and the sound of the keys saying the words. I will always remember Edna's eloquent voice and her perfected speeches.
Young man preach with 🔥
Wayne
Good morning Saints 😁 , I was a member of James Cleveland Conerstone Baptist Church and boy"ee do I miss seeing that Choir March inn on this song 😁🙏🙏🙏
we used to march and sway our press n curls out to this one my favorite song. I was a MVOC
Did you know that there were a lot of gay homosexuals and lesbians in that church? The Bible says if a man lay with another man it’s in the abomination.
Cool
This is one of my favorite song Rodena Preston and the Voices of Deliverance sang! I have been searching forever to find it! Thank you for sharing it.
Wow! That takes me back. Carl was a wonderful person.
That’s Richard Smallwood no doubt...on piano
Good guess, but no, it wasn’t him. 🙂
GNJ Pastor Small who was it ? Sounds and looks like him - intriguing
Christian Scott Sorry, it’s been about 10 years since this was recorded. I have forgotten the gentleman’s name. He played for the LA Messengers and I haven’t seen him in a while. I’ll ask Pastor Quincey Fielding, Jr. when I see him what his name is.
Greater New Jerusalem thanks no problem - such a similarity in their playing style and looks. God bless and thanks again
Eric Reed is on piano this night
thats my brother
Loved Rodena!!!!!!!
Are those the correct lyrics that someone wrote below?
The lyrics posted by Aresmall are the lyrics as sung by the GMWA Los Angeles Chapter (the chapter of the late Rev. James Cleveland) currently and also recorded the night of the Aretha Franklin Amazing Grace album over 45 years ago. The original lyrics and even a couple choirs that recorded the song are slightly different, but the LA Chapter version is what really made the song popular and as stated are still presented as such every year at the GMWA convention.
@@aresmall great response
When I worked at the only 24hr gospel radio station in LA I was asked to train a lady, I didn't know her but there was this song I had learned called It Shall Be Done and while I was training her I played the song and began to imitate the announcer in the beginning of the song, she laughed and laughed knowing I had no idea it was I was the only DJ left from when the station was secular I didn't know gospel nevertheless God strategically place Edna in my life and she was there when God transformed me we become sisters in Christ...... I'll never forget her
Nobody did church like Cornerstone.
No body no where absolutely!!!
But did you know Reverend James Cleveland infected his stepson, Christopher Harris , Cleveland with aids? You didn’t know that. They didn’t tell you that at cornerstone did they.
@@dantejones5289 yeah, they did Church 🫘. And Reverend Cleveland loved infecting his son, Christopher , Harris , Cleveland with aids.
No one did sleeping with men like James Cleveland
@@dantejones5289 and James Cleveland loved aids
I remember that song when the choir was marching in. At Cornerstone Institutional Baptist Church. From Washington and West Blvd to Slauson and Western Ave. Those was the good ol days. RIP Rev James Cleveland
Pianist, Rodena Marie Preston Williams, and Pianist, Myrtle "Patsy" Perkins, was blessed with the same style of playing the Piano...
Sounds So Very Good!!! I Love the Music..
What's the Name of this Song? I Like It.. So Beautiful. Especially that piano.
Rodena Preston and the Voices Of Deliverance - Sanctification (1977)
Rest with Jesus Mother Preston!
Rest on Rodena.
The incomparable Rodena Preston is once again reunited with her mother, brother (Billy Preston), friend, Edna Tatum, and James Cleveland. She was a Rolls Royce of a woman, and a Bentley of Gospel Music. Most of all, she is redeemed and now with the Lord! Rest in heaven.
Tyrone Skinner. well said.💕💕💕
What kisha said
Rest in heaven Rodena Preston! She died this morning!
Anyone know if these words are online anywhere
Is that Richard Smallwood on the piano? Kinda looks like him from a distance
No, it’s not him. The gentleman is really good, and I guess kind of looks like him from a distance (well, same complexion anyway) - but no, it was not him. 🙂
You al sound great, Drummer you're all up in there but doc make sure that as your chipping you establish time because that is the most important thing about your role and that is something you overlooked
