Yea man. I stated with the pokers and then went to the rubber bands to maintain them after the initial poke. My dreads were maybe an inch long when I got em poked. Now I’m like 2 years in. I actually went to the rubber band method since I found your channel right around that same time. I would do the rubber bands for like 2 weeks then take off for like 2-3 weeks. Did that for like a year and a half. Now these last couple months I just been letting em rock.

I started with the pokers. But then used rubber bands from there. Now I don’t use anything and just let em grow

I did my own hair was always long so I just grabbed and twisted one long piece of my hair around each wick I have four of them and that piece of hair grow right into the rest of my hair so mines came out a lot better instead of rubber bands frfr but that's my journey tho thinking about combining all four into one they past my chin and the other two mid back right now
