I wonder if it has ever occurred to Fr. Mike that many of us who are childless take a tiny bit of consolation in “parenting” our animals. We know they aren’t human babies. (I wonder if his sister Beth has children.)

This is the guy who has a gay brother but still preaches relentlessly about how gay men must remain chaste and never fall in love with another man. Wow. I wish he would read a 21st century book on human sexuality before pontificating about how gay men must live lonely lives just because of a few verses in a bronze age book. The cruelty behind that big smile is appalling.

Why there is so little hope in Catholicism? How about decades of child molestation that the Vatican hushed up? How about feeling betrayed by the men who for decades were supposedly God's representatives? How about everyone in my large extended family leaving Catholicism because of this betrayal except me? My allegiance was shaken greatly when certain American Bishops supported Donald Trump, the antithesis of Christianity.

What is with people coming in late? I went to a 2 day intensive seminar with Father Gaitley one time. I was shocked when 1 woman insisted in taking her seat LATE in the middle of a prayer! Everyone had to interrupt their participation in the prayer so this woman could take her seat! Catholics do not seem to have the sense of the sacred like many Protestants do upon entering a Church. The constant babbling also is startling, as if everyone is awaiting the curtain to rise on a Broadway stage play I think Catholics need to humble themselves and learn from Protestants how to teach their own congregation. Catholic education seems very poor now.

I was in church before mass about two weeks ago. I was kneeling with my head down in my pew. I was praying and told Jesus, “I long to see Your Face”. I looked up and saw people coming into church, finding a pew, men on the altar, getting everything ready, the cantor arranging his music. I knew I was looking at the face of Jesus. What a grace from my Lord!

Whoever says we need 'married' Priests to counsel those in the 'real' world of marriage and children maybe needs to hear Father Mike speaking such incredible marriage wisdom

Strength on Earth is the Humility in Christ gained in you. A burden to always be His Compassion. Then we must see our sinfulness which is most, not able to be Him. The Supernatural Virtues are GOD, Always Growing in that Life, Light and Love. What is creation gained by God? A Test to Him Whom IS Most.

Scripture is in the Breath of the Holy Spirit, not a literal chapter. Only HE can dispose to you what it means. You do not want to own or could while in a human body.

God is a Jealous God. Our dearest Lord Holy Spirit is the only Teacher of the spiritual life within you. Love is very Personal. For He conceived you in His Love for Him Alone.

Our Lord can only aid you when you let go of the false gods. The supposed strengths gained this World or the human body or the human mind. Once addicted, that release feels like HELL on Earth once wanted to be free of that disease most.

Hallmark is the devil most in its presentations. i hate lies because i am one.

What is evil? Not to be God on Earth.

Happiness is not gained on Earth and only is in Heaven and is NEVER defined by this World. Pretty damned sure. No one is guaranteed Heaven. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the only Judge of all and any human hearts. Pagan religions should never be the interchange of a priest given as expressing HIS Truth, our Lord.

I love Father Mike and his sermons always hit home but but I think he has ADHD lol.

You are correct, these people are hurting, but it is because of humans like you, Father Mike. You really are clueless. You mask your intolerance with simplistic notions that sound kind and accepting, as long as everyone fits into those labels of 'man' or 'woman' that your self-righteousness deems correct and more worthy. It is a medical fact that things can go awry in utero and a newborn present as male or female and yet have the opposite brain sense of themselves. They are born different, but Jesus still loves them because God does not make mistakes. IT IS JUST ANOTHER WAY TO BE! It is no different than being born with hazel eyes instead of brown or blue. Can you fathom the lifetime of self-loathing if people are not allowed to live their own truth and have to conform to yours? I had a student shoot himself in the head rather than see the anger and disappointment in his father's eyes. That is when this Catholic High School teacher became just a Christian, not to mention all the other abominable reasons to be wary of Catholicism, a truly sick old boys' club with priests like you parading around holier than imaginable. Maybe in the last 8 years, some humility and compassion and light have entered your psyche, penetrated your heart. Hope so ...
