If you are adjusting an auto slack you need a new slack adjuster. Out of adjustment means you have a problem. Not get a tool and fix it. Do a 6 pack they call it which is just hard brake presses performed twice and reset them. If they don’t. You ends a new slack. Save your money and toolbox space. These tools are useless and unsafe unless you are installing slack adjusters.

There is ANOTHER fuel filter on the bottom of the primer housing . I believe you missed it

or sometimes (usually) its a bullseye crack in the solder joint from plugging and unplugging the plug,. just crack the 4 clips on the switch cover open, and hit it with a 15$ soldering gun, and vualla!. then you have a free tool, as compaired to replacing a perfectly good switch..

So I had a leak and my mechanic said “ I hope it’s not the pump.” He said it’s just the hose. He replaced it($450 with labor) and I went off working. A couple days later I noticed some drops under my truck when I was starting for the day and idling up. I’m think it’s leaking only while it’s cold. Can it be the same hose or I don’t know… No leaks after it’s warm. If it needs the whole pump I’m going to sell the truck and do company work….

I'm wondering why the rocker shaft is out, it does not need to be removed to do injectors or cups..since the rocker housing is aluminum ,threads can easily be pulled if the valves are not backed off all the way,and the rocker shaft comes off and goes back on in a special sequence as well to prevent stripping

Just an FYI to people looking, You don't actually have to replace these if they are just clogged and they arent broken like the one in this video.The first time I did so there was a sticker of the actual manufacturer on the bottom and I don't remember what it is but they had PDF instructions for cleaning them online. Take off those two or three screws on the bottom of it there's a spring and a bunch of plastic plates that get clogged.

I replace mine I did not have to redo the whole pump. Because of the strong Spring.I got longer bolts and kept alternating into I could have put the original bolts in and get it tightened down. Cost me a hundred dollars from a Junk yard to remove that part

What can happen if you don't fix it right away

Do you know if I did the oil change and now oil is spraying out from somewhere but I can’t find it do you know what it usually is. I checked the filters and it doesn’t seem to be the filters it goes into the radiator fan spraying everywhere
