I replaced retractable cord, got it (Electrolux 2000) back together and it turned on. But when I attached the hose and turned it on vacuum would have suction for 2 seconds then shut off. I remove hose turn on, vacuum suction is great, but I put my hand over suction, where hose attaches to vacuum, and vacuum turns off. Did I cause internal problem maybe. Something with one of those clear tubes. This video really helped us. Thanks from California

We had a heck of a time trying to put the canister back in after we took it out for cleaning. On the back right side of the canister there is a little button, that you somehow have to push in order for the canister to lock in. This is not shown on the video and it took three of us to figure this out

Anyone know a source for new brushes for a Model E(1956)? Or, just one, since the other one is nice and long. Or, can I CAREFULLY break off a chunk of the good one , file it to match, and push it into the brass tube to get a few more years?

When I first purchased it we had two dogs and a cat and it kept up well. The suction was great then and still is now. I’m always amazed at the amount of hair it picks up, it works better than any other vacuum I’ve had for pet hair. The attachments are handy and work well. It’s easy to use with arthritic hands. I just had to come write a review because I’m still so pleased with this purchase.

I can't understand why you'd use a sharp utility knife to pull the pin out (which is nearly impossible to actually see in the video) and to use in place of a screw driver? My nozzle has a sock stuck right in the elbow portion of the nozzle. I can't pull or push it out so I need to access through the handle.
