Nostalgia. That game is responsible for raising awareness of The Tower of Druaga.
The level where pac-boys become pac-men.
Yeesh, they really did a number on this stage in the remake. Basically every obstacle is just… Way easier now. Fewer steam vents (even though steam vents now give a cue when they're about to erupt), platforms under some pits… They even removed the whole "blowing up the factory" angle at the end.
Definitely used at the end credits.

My favorite part is the rev platforms taking a good 4 seconds to finish, and by the last phase you have a max 6 seconds to to dodge *just the lasers* It is nigh impossible to not take at least a couple free hits because the level is designed so badly
