Is it difficult to remove the TPMS? I have a 2022 MX-5 getting its wheels powder coated soon but I am afraid the shop will mess them up.

I really like that color. I'm planning on doing the rims on my velocity blue mustang. However I'm undecided if I want a gloss clear or a matte. Is a satin clear coat a happy medium?

Do you use any primer?
I would like to see dynamometer test results comparing a REM treated ring and pinion vs an non treated set.
How many pounds does it take to do these parts? If even a pound? Could I do two machines with a pound of powder? New to coating and want to do two of my machines just don’t know how much surface area the parts take up.

i am looking to powder coat my wheels on my yamaha FZ09 in a bright ass eye hurting yellow. What yellow would you suggest for a yellow that looks like it is glowing? and what base color would you use?

@MotoXXXManiac-dp1tz 3 years to late lol, I went with white base, florescent yellow, then super wet clear over it. Those 3 powders. It literally looks like my wheels are glowing they are so bright, pretty insane honestly.
I just ordered that color for my Dodge Charger which is in Destroyer Grey, this particular blue is going to look so nice on it. I checked out the swatches next to my car in person. I had the rims powder coated in Little Red Wagon Red at first, now after 3 years of that, I want a change. Looking forward to my appointment!
Did a pair of rims in neon yellow and got some bluish spots. Is that something that happens with the neon yellow powder?
Was it neon yellow with a white base coat? Might have had some kind of contaminant on the base, the neon yellow is pretty sensitive/transparent

Which is better: gloss black rims or matte black rims on a 2019 Audi RS3 (car is black)?
Really is a personal choice, gloss is a little fancier looking but I prefer a satin finish. Satin doesn’t show scratches as much and has that more race inspired look

Zero Tolerace thanks for watching. I can not recall if we pre-heated or not, not all jobs get pre-heated. That being said, we may have since it was a used part and could have had grease. It would have been pre-heated for the approximate cure schedule of that powder. I believe that powder was a single coat powder which does not require a base or a top coat. Primer is not required for powder coating unless spec’d or needed for a particular application
@@procryo1378 since it's a dirt bike, it'll be outdoors I would have put a clear coat for UV protection, and you always have to outgas all parts for 45 min to an hour to release all junk built into the steel or aluminum. let it cool to about 120-150 degrees then coat away

Ryan Matty yeah, those bright yellows definitely have it sometimes. I think the neon yellow actually warns of possible specs in description online
