Hey John, just wanna say I love your content, but how would I pursue this as an international hs in Australia. We dont have an AP exam or any of the other options. Also regarding HS, if u prepared for these exams in your own time, did u just get homeschooled instead, or did the HS allow you to take days off for that?

I'm soooo cooked 😂. I took 3 ap classes last year, and now my senior year I'm taking 5 more. With an additional two other classes that are dual credit this year. The good thing is, the only reason I took the classes was because they were challenging and look on a college application as if one loves challenging oneself. However, the not so great thing is that last year I didn't care about the AP exams themselves and did terrible because I didn't study, I was too focussed on the grades of the classes themselves. So no college credit for me there... Hopefully this year I don't make the same mistake.

I did dual enrollment through the college + whatever my High school offered. I finished high school a year early and I clep my remaining course. I started late, but if I knew about my options earlier, I probably would have graduated with my AA by the time I graduated high school.

You shouldn't do this. College is 4 years you wont get back, take your time, take it easy. Ive enjoyed college and I can never imagine doing it in just 3 years let alone 1. You wont be able to network properly nor have enough time to get internships and good letter of recs. I've built friendships even as late as the end of my junior year.

  • @ARK19973

Hi John great video! How many CLEP exams did you take? How many college credits did they get you? I was also wondering if was it easy to make friends and everything because I was thinking of taking a very similar path to you, doing APs, Cleps, dsst's, and all the other good stuff. But one thing that I thought about was will my time at college be fun and will I enjoy it the same way as I would if I did the regular 4 years or if would it not really make much of a difference if I graduated in 1 year. I plan to major in health sciences and plan to go to med school after. What would your advice be?

This doesn't work in other countries. Here, even if you are the one who invented every subject, you wouldn't be allowed to skip any years because the only condition to be enrolled in the nth grade is have passed the n-1 grade. The only lucky case to graduate a year younger is being born in January or the 1st half of February, because you can get enrolled a year prior. You guys can skip and graduate much earlier.
