Toyota MR2 N/A sound - Best induction kit ever?
Here is a quick vid of my UK 2.0 GT MR2. First half of the video is video footage of the sound, second half is a quick guide on the induction kit itself with pictures regarding its fitment. Any questions, ask me in the comments! Please check out my other car/bike related videos too :)

Snetterton 300 track evening, riding on a 1993 Yamaha FZR 600 3HE. The first few minutes (upto 2:45) are the warm up laps (This was the Novice group). A collection of various "best bits" and just general coverage, nothing too exciting. Filmed with an SJCAM SJ400 at 1080p 30fps.
Does anyone know what that car induction kit/ intake is called??
Totally best sound ever, might need your guidance.sorry, couldn't hear which induction was used
what intake is this? i want one for my 91 NA hahah paired with the 3" stainless exhaust I have for it, it's gonna sound awesome!
Wow I remember that car it was amazing
Ohhhh jeeeeeezzzz that sounds awesome!!! 🔥
What groups was this you look held back by other riders .Still looks like a lot of fun
Hi Jason, it was novuce class and to be honest, it's where I should be for now. The issue with all trackway classes is that it can be any bike/size engine, so even as a slightly better rider on a 600, you'll get 1000cc bikes with less confident riders in the corners who aren't afraid to smash it down the straights. I certainly need a few more days in novice class before moving up with the big boys.
I have a fzr 600 3rh and still is fun to keep.up with bigger bikes too enjoy riding 👍
@@jasonlazenby8895 ah brilliant. I had mine for nearly 10 years and changed to an R1 last year. Just bought an early 2001 R6 as a dedicated track toy. Big bikes are fun but a 600 is still more rewarding!
Sounds beautiful.
I miss my old Rev3 na. I had the k&n kit on mine with a custom heat shield I made to box it in at the side. It sounded just like this. The pitch change when the variable inlet length switches is awesome. So many good memories.
Same. Couldn't agree more. When the ACIS switch happens it was immediately apparent. This guy is taking it easy. I revved the nuts off mine. You could reev it to 7250rpm and it just lapped it up. It was still strong at 150,000 plus but the sills had rotted out and I had to let it go to a parts guy. Interior was mint too. Both bags for the roof panels etc. MR2 was the most exciting car I ever owned. Luv and Peace.
It says cool☺
Cool
Thanks
subie, much?
I'm gonna build one like this for my Mk3 mr2. I wonder if the dual filter is what makes it sound so ridiculous.
Very possibly- I actually think the metal pipework creates the resonance more than anything; plastic abd rubber absorb the sound so any thin metal piping should increase the sound. Miss this car...
@@Mattblacklude possibly. I might make it out of a specific metal then. We'll see! Sorry to hear you got rid of it
Hello I have the old version of the dash.. but I see the engine light but he never lit up, I notice instead that yours has the new dash, but the same is the light off, is it burned out or never turned on?
Aahh no music,great 👍
Can't find this intake anywhere man, If you think about selling it let my know :)
What exhaust are you using?
Standard factory exhaust Jason; the only modification that would effect the sound was the induction kit. Regards
@@Mattblacklude this might be a stupid question. But what induction kit did you use?
@@Mattblacklude I cannot find the induction kit on ebay, i searched all day in terms like supra induction kit and dual mushroom intake kit, scolled through pages and pages, but no luck :( Could you check your purchase history?
I like it quite a bit but I'm biased so I vote for this :) Search for Test pull in the SVT. ... note thats not my car. My car sadly was written off when a Honda Pilot smashed into my car while I was at the stop light :(
wow sounds awesome, can you link me exactly which one you purchased?
But i have a question... What means every thing what apears on display? Do you have a legend? Thank you.
www.fiestastforum.com/threads/3227-Fiesta-Hidden-Dash-Menu-Self-Diagnostics-Mode The last models of the Fiesta mk4 and the Fiesta mk5 have the same dashboard. Pa to Pd are RAM values I think. PE0 to PE7 are values of the ADC in the dash like fuel level or coolant temp. PE4 or PE5 is the button of the cluster. And I think "LCd" at 1:00 is the PWM signal (brightness) of the LCD backlight as it becomes brighter when you turn on the Lights.
where u get this intake?
That only gives a certain amount of codes that just relate to the clocks, you can't check any other DTCs
Is it vvt-i or something like that, it sounds agressive at high rpm, i really love it!
ACIS.
It's because of the ACIS, a system of valves that open at high RPM to increase air flow
Nice video, have you had any problems with it regarding reliability of the car since you've had the kit installed?
thanks for the comment; nope no issues to report, kit is still sturdy and has remained in place. the only mod i did which didnt feature in the video, was a small piece of perspex stuck on to the bonnet, to cover it from direct rain contact. simple but works well.
Ross Allen brilliant thank you
apologies for the weird blocking at the bottom of the video. original footage is fine - we can thank windows movie maker for that :/ feel free to give it a comment or a like :)
