My 6th great uncle (Phillip Chavis b. 1726) co-founded the Lumbee Tribe. Sadly, I'd never heard of these any of these tribes before I did my ancestry. My people were kxlled if they claimed to be Indian. We are also French & Dutch (thru Louisiana Creoles), Scottish - (1200s) Lords Blair of Blair of Ayshire, Scotland. Irish from McGeachan & Ferguson (1400s) Antrim, Northern Ireland. German from the Greathouse/Grothaus family of Baden-Württemberg, Germany 1400/1500s.

Growing up every one and I mean everyone had a grand parent "Cherokee" that Nobody and I mean nobody could name or ever seen.Mind you my Grandparents were born early 1900s. In my whole life I only ever met a small handful of legit biological Black Indians. They were in NY NJ and a Seminole chick from Florida. 99% of black people in US are African heritage. Undercover Brother was a great movie. I was turned onto Thomas Sowell only a year or so ago. I have mostly only listened to his ideas on CZcams videos. But he's a great thinker. He makes so much sense. I was a liberal when I was younger but am now a right-leaning moderate. And men like Sowell have helped me to understand things. He makes so much sense of things. I hope he lives to 100 or more. I recently read his 'Marxism'. I didn't like his writing style at all. Of course, I was listening to the audiobook; that could be the problem. I suspect I would have enjoyed it more had I read the book, but I try to make the best use of my time at my driving job by listening to audiobooks while driving. Nevertheless, the book was thorough concerning Marxism. There's a short criticism of Marxism at the end of the book. I'm now listening to his 'Black Rednecks, White Liberals'. It's actually very good so far, though I'm only an hour into the audiobook. Thanks for sharing your perspective.
