When growing up, my mom could not drive, so we depended on her best friend named Joy to take us to town etc. on some days she would take us to visit her mother. As a kid I was always kinda scared of her, cause she was a rough woman. I always remember her wearing house dresses, and aprons, and barefoot all year around! She would have these brown labeled tins setting around, and I would often see her using what was inside. One day I was about 10 and asked my mother what Mrs. Kisamore was doing, and when I found out the truth I was horrified a woman would do that! To this day, and I just turned 57 and cannot imagine a woman doing that! Ewww! 🤢

Grew up with Jake in The Burg. Fredericktown, KY. Jake has since passed but every time 150 Quick Stop sold the recipe went with the sale of store. Once you have Jake’s no other sausage will do!

One of our absolute favorite stops on the way back to IL when we go to the Smokies. We enjoy eating lunch at the cafe and then shopping the arts & crafts. Let us know how the sausage is as that appears to be something new. Wonder if they still have Kentucky derby pie? That is a must too!
