The Beatles in India. Their Hero's Journey Explained
In 1968, The Beatles traveled to Rishikesh, India, to study Transcendental Meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. This retreat marked a significant period of creativity and spiritual exploration for the band. During their stay, they wrote numerous songs that would later appear on the "White Album" and other projects. The experience influenced their music and personal lives, deepening their interest in Eastern philosophies and culture. The trip wasn't without tension, leading to the band's eventual departure, but it left an indelible mark on their legacy, showcasing their openness to new ideas and their quest for personal and artistic growth.

Every real beatles fan knows the best solos were played by Paul, John, and Eric Clapton. George only got lead cause Paul conceded to play bass
Who "tried to kill Bob a few times"??
Lets have it right tho, lennon could be a right c..t. everyone i know that met him said he was a horrible c..t
What the Beatles didn't like wasn't Yoko herself, it was how Lennon acted when with yoko
Shocker 😐
Lennon may have made great music but, he was not a great human being.
So people in New York, including Dylan said Yoko had a bad name there. Wonder what that was and did John check it out?
I used to think they were unfair to Yoko until ai heard how she treated Julian (John too)
I have no respect for John Lennon. He was talented, but that’s about it. Bad Fad, bad friend, and a weirdo.
*Whatever John says, ultimately, he's the one who believed in the Maharashi to begin with. The only foolish one here is Mr. Lennon himself. Drugs, ignorance and ego blinds anyone to the reality of the world*
We should all be listening to Julian. Julian and his beloved late mother were the collateral damage of a terrible situation. His father was a great musician but a damaged and very flawed man. Our first mistake was mythologizing and deifying him when he was a human with more unresolved issues than any of us could fathom. John & Yoko were extremely self involved artists and between the drugs, egos, selfishness and malignant narcissism between them, it's a wonder how they managed to write such moving songs and music together. It's up to Julian to forgive them and not us. Very grateful he's been brave enough to share his story and present the reality of being an abandoned and abused child by one of the most famous musicians in history. These stories aren't presented as a platform to vilify those he spoke of or eluded to, but simply speak his truth for us to THINK about. Nobody thinks anymore, they just comment. I see so many people in the comments using his truth as an excuse and a tool to let their bigotry, misogyny, or all out hatred upon people they don't know. That's not why Julian is talking about what happened. It's HIS truth and we should respect it as knowledge and to use it wisely, not to spread more hate. If anyone is a champion of peace and love, it's Julian. Nobody's helping matters by talking shit about his deceased father and ill mother-in-law. Julian speaks of moving on, forgiveness, and that is what we should all take away from this. Not a hate-filled shit show in the comments. Get a grip people and open your eyes and your mind. Bless you, Julian and I hope you and we all find peace and love as time marches on.
Cynthia should not have made excuses for John Lennon. Because of Yoko's jealously over Cynthia, Yoko had John tell Cynthia that she and Julian couldn't stay in your home, that he owned, anymore. Cynthia may have forgiven Lennon for the way he treated Cynthia, I will not. John Lennon, once he crossed over, had to atone for his treatment of Cynthia and Julian. Yoko will also have to pay that price, when she crosses over too.
This is George Harrison, after he was a Beatle. Song: My Sweet Lord , from the 1970 album, “All things must pass.”
The fascination of GEORGE HARRISON was also presented to us by the sound of the SITAR which heard firstly in NORWEGIAN WOOD, WITHIN & WITHOUT or INNER LIGHT...❤
This whole Yoko affair is just beyond my comprehension. And listening to John’s bitterness and resentment makes me sad 😢
She was John’s handler
Why so repetitive? Is that the way you write your books?
This world was not kind to John.
And we all remember where we were and what we were doing when we heard about John 😢
John Lennon was an embarrassment
Oh leave it out Julian! You were extremely fortunate to have a father such as John Lennon. Give the man a break - he was murdered at the peak of his life which opened a door for you to become famous yourself singing 'Much too late for goodbyes'. Cry me a river.
Fuck your AI art
It was also early 1960s
So am I.
John Lennon broke up the Beatles. Period,
Our dad left mom when I was 9. Like John, he was a narcissist. It was all about him. At the time of his death, he was married three more times. I was his best man for the last two. He was a good man, but he only really cared about his needs. He only realized his lack of empathy for others after it was too late. He did regret his past mistakes but he never figured out how not to make them going forward. John’s behavior is that of a classic narcissist. It was all about him. His lack of respect for George Martin is a clear case. His Imagine album was about peace and love and shying away from materialism…all from the comfort of his multimillion dollar apartment at The Dakota. Complete disconnect from reality.
What did John see in her?
"They are writing about her and looking miserable in LET IT BE." They were writing about Yoko? What does he mean by that. Anybody?
Yoko had zero musical talent she sounded like two foxs in the wild mating but the fox's sounds better
Ringo was talking to the guy who shot John a couple months before John was murdered makes you wonder doesn't it
Mentor?? Nah
Pete Ham un gran artista, uniéndose también al club de los 27
No, Lennon was NOT a musical genius. He was pretty average. Teaming up with McCartney they managed to produce some tunes that have become standards. But then he got pretty full of himself (Yoko helped inflate his ego). His last interview with Playboy revealed that he was pretty much a self-absorbed, narcissistic jerk.
This is good to know that he was a damaged man. He wasn’t a father to Julian, which all condolences. Kind of like Salvador Dali, and Picasso were narcissistic but were crazy talented. Still love his music, and always will.
I loved your music Julian.
If it was unconfortable for her,why she was there then?
According to Eric Claptons autobigraphy he was a rugular with the Beatles and the Stones as well seeing them at the same venue. It's funny how honest he is in his book saying how he was turned off by the Beatles outfits but liked their songs.
Wow, I had no idea
Encore un sale type Ivre de son image👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼
After 3 of these audio files of Lennon bitching like a teenage girl. I’m glad the Beatles broke up, for the sake of the other 3
No, George, being, honest, and straight out !! I'm with George !! Paul, was rude to her, a few times also, her, being, on the set, while you guys, song writing, and getting your music together ! ..Many people, thought Yoko, was annoying !!
His scumbag manager stole his money
dude was in the beatles and could have had any chic he wanted...he picks Ugly AF yoko,,, shows what a douchebag John was
Just two partners, in front of their home. In some ways reminiscent of the two virgin album cover. They didn’t want to hide anything; just black and white too-ie, straightforward. But in the not-hiding (their home, in this case-which was known), they invited tragedy, alas. Yoko herself admitted they were naïve-after John’s death. So, looking back now, it reminds me of the fact that in life-as the Buddhists say: “there is gain and loss, pleasure and pain, fame and disrepute…” But they wanted to be free. It still pains me to this day what happened that fateful day in December of 1980. And what happened still reverberates today in the US Supreme Court’s decision to not ban bump stocks-though maybe new laws can still be enacted. I hope we do enact better gun control laws in this country. This all said, even George was subjected to violence of another kind in his home. We can only control what we can control, but in the end, there is tragedy in life. I still applaud John & Yoko’s work. Their honesty and love and goodwill will always be remembered.
This has been edited and pieced together and is not entirely true. Don't forget, John Lennon is not here to answer any of this. Don't speak ill of the dead!
Everyone talks about how great he was. No, he was not a great person. You don't abandon b your child. He was a great musician and writer but not a great person. Yoko changed him and caused problems in the group. She just seemed to have to be everywhere he was. .
What a jealous jerk for saying that
