OCT angiography (OCTA) has emerged as an alternative to fluorescein angiography imaging for the identification of abnormal blood vessels in patients with the neovascular form of age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). A recent study by Professor Faruque Ghanchi, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, et al. reported the high sensitivity and specificity of SPECTRALIS OCTA imaging for detecting choroidal neovascularization (CNV) at baseline in treatment naïve nAMD patients. In this webinar, Professor Ghanchi discusses best practice for systematically analysing OCTA and conventional SD-OCT images for CNV and surrogate bio-markers of nAMD.

For the purposes of using Anterion biometry measurements in external formulae (e.g. Kane formula)... is ACD = AQD or is ACD = AQD+CCT? Thanks

Just been poorly diagnosed with AMD so bit in shock. My first search forUK based retina specialist.. would love some guidance on your clients in Turkey so i am confident i can research the best treatment available.. Thursday i had a oct scan with dye in my system which machine had defo seen beter days.. i guess your, oct is not dye!! So need cutting edge examination asap...Expat Turkey xn ps..Phew, new title ..from biginner to expert lol

Can you invent something to keep the patients head still.
Imaging a monitor screen with a camera doesn't always brings out the best quality; I think you could improve the final result a lot when using some image-capture software instead, when possible of course!
Unfortunately it is not possible to share the image capture screen during a live webinar. This uses too much RAM and bandwidth. So for now the only option is to film the capture screen. However we are looking at technology for the future to improve on this.

@@Readyteddygo The SPECTRALIS provides the flexibility to image eyes that are traditionally difficult to obtain images from. It will image through undilated pupils and cataracts due to the confocal scanning laser technology. In addition, the real-time live image you see on the screen allows you to identify and scan pathology with flexible custom scan patterns if you wish to, so you are not constrained by scan presets. Having joystick control and TruTrack active eye tracking allows you to obtain excellent images even in patients who blink or struggle to fixate - which is one of the reasons Heidelberg Engineering use manual joystick controls at the moment rather than automated systems. The SPECTRALIS is very user friendly - we invite you to speak to your local representative who would be happy to show you how easy it is.
