Hey Austin, thanks for these videos, I am always looking forward to your upcoming devvlogs. I am curious, with your mac, do you need use didModifyRange when changing MTLBuffer contents? I find this is not required on my computer, which I believe is because of the gpu using system ram, so know synchronization is required, but tbh, i am not sure about this.
@@Jack-144 hey Jack, thanks a lot! I am a total beginner at Metal but yes I would use didModifyRange for synchronization but like you said may not be necessary. I’m actually writing most of my game in objective-c and Scene/SpriteKit as opposed to metal.

I think it will be better if you add a projectile like a missile and make it so like when the projectile hits the enemy it kills them and you can also add a time limit in which you have to kill all of them.

@@annabelled-h8990 these source files are from apple. You need Xcode on Mac to run them. Start project > console application > language c++. Then you have to download metalcpp. Put the files in your project. Change header search paths and link binary libraries in your settings. Once you do all that, you have to declare the implementation with certain code. It’s available on apple developer site. I would recommend ChatGPT to help learn coding. But I wouldn’t recommend c++ for macOS game dev. Better off using swift or objective-c. What else can I help you with

I’ve tried many many many delta brands and Mellow Fellows are as close to a delta9 high as I can find. Preheat button so it will never clog up and I’ve never purchased one that didnt work. I hit it a lot and it lasts me two weeks minimal
