But a quick summary ABS (Aprilia Braking System, Levels from 1 to 3 ( 3 is the most effective abs on braking ) AEM (Aprilia Engine Map ) Levels 1 to 3 ( 1 is the most aggressive throttle response) ATC (Aprilia Traction Control) levels 1 to 4 ( 4 is the most effective traction control ) AEB ( Aprilia Engine Break) levels 1 to 3 ( 3 is the most powerful engine break )

Yo Walt, you can check to see if your shifter linkage is working effectively by making sure the pivots on the linkage from your shifter pedal to the shifter shaft are as close to 90° as possible. Follow the linkage from the pivot on your shifter and into the engine, these lines should be 90° from eachother. This will make sure that the force you are putting into the shifter is most effictive in moving the shifting shaft. I had a general shifting issue where I would always put my bike into neutral and not 2nd when shifting out of 1st.

Gabro made a thermostat that opens at a lower temp than the stock one....This plus decat might help with the heat! Haven't tried myself though! Currently waiting for the parts....Those bags at the front are really nice! Are those GL? Thanks!

I’ve owned both at the same time. The ktm feels like a big supermoto with a kinda agricultural engine . The SF is a race bike with straight bars and flat out rips .

Walter, I traveled far and wide and made my way into some ancient aprillia forums and found a "Neutral fix" that helps make getting neutral a lot easier. The fix is, Replace the clutch oil jet for a .40 and also bleed the clutch at the master cylinder. And by Jet, After looking into it...It looks like a carburetor jet. So you'll need a #40 jet.

Now we both are riding and have to give you some of the credit for showing us the life many years ago. I got a 18’ Kawasaki Versys 650, and she got a 19’ Ninja 400.

Hey Walter, I have a question for you since you're one of the few people I've seen with long time ownership of a KTM. In a nutshell, with everything you've done with your Super Duke, would you buy another one? I'm getting into riding in the next few months (maybe next year, 'cause winter is a thing here), and I'm eyeing up the 390 Duke as my first bike. Everything I've seen of short term reviews are positive, but looking into KTM bikes for more long term has me a little leery now. So I'm seeking opinions. Yay, nay, meh?

I have a DR350SE, and it can easily do 70mph, often up to 80 if its flat with no headwind without too much struggle (it does have 6 gears though). Can the DRZ 400 really not do more than about 60 without being strained or wobbling?

CZcams Motovlogger 'Spicy110' has one of these, he's done many videos on maintenance, a review and general Motovlogs (bikers rights, does and donts, points of views etc) while riding it around. They're great bikes, but DO have their drawbacks (like they're not great for maintaining high speeds/highway runs etc), but they're IMMENSE FUN around country lanes and Twisties! 👍 If you've not watched any of his content, do so, they're worth a watch. 😎🇬🇧
