Irish Army Ranger Wing - ARW
zhlédnutí 82KPřed 6 lety
A look at the highly elite and respected special forces unit of the Irish Defence Forces more commonly known as the Army Ranger Wing. A group that is regarded as the one of the best in the world. Their identities are hidden and rightly so but their skills and professionalism aren't as is clearly evident in this video. ( I don't own this video, it's posted as a tribute to this great unit)

Irish Gailic is a strong combative proud language i am an American irishman and wish to enlist with pride
I listen to this every day, so proud of my country in so many ways… And listening to this in the morning on the subway to World Trade Centre to work just makes the hairs on my neck stand up… Eire Abu!!… I miss Ireland 🇮🇪 but I know with buachailli like these at the helm we are in good shape❤ ☘️ 🇮🇪
Ireland, through us, summons her children to her flag and strikes for her freedom.
❤ 💪 🇮🇪
🇮🇪❤️
You fellas are doing one hell of a job, great work lads
I'm from Ireland we have a small military force but they are very well trained
English generals go home! Ireland is palestine in Europe. When will divided Ireland reunite? Please teach uss Irish before we forget it. The Secret Irish Republican Army was established by the high administration of the World Government rochelled family period to spread terrorism in Ireland and to discredit the Irish people's struggle for peaceful independence, When these goals was achieved, the world government dismantled this army and established the international terrorist organization Al Qaeda. The Organization has blamed the air attacks on the World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon on September 11th to cover up the rivalry for leadership between wealthy merchants and wealthy generals in the USA. We don't want a war of roses here. F. Northmans
Makes me proud Ireland
Ireland ranks 97th by army strength and 127th by population...Irelands army is way to small!! Norway with the same population as Ireland is ranked 33rd in the world by army strength!
The rangers are up there with the best of them though
Wow I have no words ireland 🇮🇪

Number one rule you are going to eventually die or survive anywhere for ages.

As an American with Irish ancestry on both my parents side my utmost respect to the Irish Rangers!!🇺🇸🇮🇪
guys you need some stuff from us
Song name?
I am desperately finding name of the song
"I am a Fianna (warrior), I am the son of Cumhaill and brother of Fionn Cumhaill I am of the Fianna. (The Fianna where warriors in Irish mythology. They lived in the wilderness, living off the land in small groups, fighting, raiding and served as mercenaries) the ARW and their traditions is a direct homage to these warriors of ancient Ireland. The ARW shoulder patch (FIANOGLACH) literally translates as 'young warrior'
Even I don’t understand the words spoken in this video, i can feel their weight and their importance! God bless Ireland and your Special Forces! My sincerest greetings from a Brazilian Army soldier… 🇧🇷🇮🇪
Físeán álainn , is í an Ghaeilge ár dteanga agus ba chóir í a chur chun cinn , Éire go Brach!!🇮🇪💪
As a British men I think theses guys are amazing even tho the Irish ain't are biggest fans I spent my early 20s over seas fighting and if I had the chance to id follow theses young men and women into a fire fight big respect
What's the poem?
"The motto of the Army Ranger Wing is taken from an old Fianna poem, in Irish it is: 'Glaine ár gcroí, Neart ár ngéag, Agus beart de réir ár mbriathar', which translates as: 'The purity of our hearts, the strength of our limbs and our commitment to our promise' in English."
🇮🇪✊💚 Gregory oneill,,,, thank you brothers ✊
Best special forces video on CZcams
hello friends
Great special force and the fact they are Irish even better
I'm proud of our lads. God bless Ireland 🇮🇪
Well said brother ❤
What?
Its so fresh to see a professionally presented promo video. It came out so good
Your royal translate: is fyp Hahley, ,etugeh, metahar, hahahahahahhahhhhhhhhhhherrrrrrrrrrrrr...
The British when they see this 😬
They've already spent time training with them. The Irish regularly have joint training in Hereford with the SAS . . Our officers also go to Sandhurst for specialist training.
The forerunners to the Irish Army Ranger Wing wiped out the cream of the British spies in one morning during the Irish War of Independence. Do you think these elite spies and Winston Churchill were laughing when the shooting stopped?
Just don't
Irish is a language?
Yes it is and half of us in Ireland dont understand I do tho
Lol what do you think after hearing it 🤦♂️
@@pmgunner2859 it’s cool
@@ministermonkey7546 lol yeah my response might of been rude but I'm surprised the amount of people who ask that question
@@pmgunner2859 we're not exactly a massive or relevant country in terms of current affairs so I don't expect everyone to know information about this tiny island we live on
Song?

Such a well put together presentation. These guys are among the best in the world.
They certainly are
I see the English translations, but can I get it in Gaeilge? Go raibh maith agat
So cooooooool. The Irish Army Ranger Wing the modern version of the Fianna. Oh it will be so coooool in 50 years when they are all black. Cant wait.
God is good, reclaim our Kingdom. Do not fail our family
I think about ireland military power always. Why they aren”t buy thank, fighter aircraft?...
In truth we do not need them. Anytime the Russians enter our air space the EU launch fighters to escort the lads out and on their way. Plus the treaty of 1921 only allows us a defense force. Always remember that it only took farm hands and peasants with the guidance of returning Irish men whom fought in ww1 to bring these men up to scratch and send the Brits packing. The thoughts of an organized and well trained Irish army put the fear of god into the Brits at the time. We live in different times now. But imagine if Collins had 150 of these guys instead of 12.
@@sgthomer1 I would disagree, as a sovereign and neutral nation we need to ability to defend our neutrality without relying on anyone else. All we need is at least 16 jet fighters capable of intercepting foreign/unauthorized aircraft. Other neutral, small in population and/or size whom are also non NATO members states do have these capabilities so the air corps having such equipment is not out of the question. Especially considering we had jet aircraft in the form of vampires and fouga jets until 1999.
@@judemorgan9362 It makes me sick to think we have we can not defend our own air space. We could pick up them 16 Jets and spare parts for about 100mil. I am just being realistic.
sgthomer1, I can’t see us getting these capabilities in the next few years unfortunately. Although the government back in June did announce that they where considering the purchase of fighter jets: www.google.com/amp/s/www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/government-considering-purchase-of-military-jet-aircraft-1.4289801%3Fmode%3Damp So perhaps a long term air corps funding plan may come into place where the means to defend our airspace as a sovereign nation is achieved. Although it will be at least 5+ yrs from now before a deal is even made for the purchase of the fighters and radar/support systems that go along with a program for defending airspace. I should also note that with Britain being our main defender in air and sea and their departure from the EU makes it seem less likely they'll want to defend a country in the EU making it more appropriate for the Irish government to actually invest in fighter jets for the air corps.
@@sgthomer1 The EU aren't the ones dispatching fighter jets to intercept Russian intrusions into our airspace, its the Royal Air Force. We have a few of our own flying with them. Its a matter of enticing them back with the right aircraft and pay. Let's be honest, we've got the Brits watching our skies.
Taim muaralach as mo thír
I wish there were English subtitles...

It's an Irish ad
Respected by who, the girl guides. Regarded as one of the best by who?
Respected by so many around the country and the world. They're regarded as one of the best due to their record when competing in international tournaments. On par with the best the US has to offer.
@@KieranM8982 Winning competitions does not win respect, taking part in real world successful military operations earns respect, they are untried and untested. The best they can expect are some peacekeeping duties, not usually a role for special force's.
@@russell5414 You're talking absolute rubbish, if you knew people who knew them which I do and the stuff they've done, you'd change your opinion.
@@KieranM8982 Unlike other special forces they have no offensive role and no combat or battle experience. I am sure they are good for what they were intended for, peacekeeping and internal security.
@@russell5414 They have experience in areas that you think they lack, not everything they do would be known to the public.
one of the best military vids I've seen , respect! Love from Malta, Irish blood in here also!
