Good on you, Mark, for braving the elements. Trying to change up rigs with numb fingers isn't an easy or pleasant task. But I always say good things come to those who make the effort and what clonking good browns they were. With the rather icy temperatures, I'd say that may have had a fair part to do with why your GoPro was turning itself off when it was. They don't like it too hot or cold I had found. That's why I've since changed my type of camera equipment over the last season or 2 and just recently upgraded for the new season ahead, which I'm looking forward to taking it out. Your one tuffmothertrucker..working up that neck of the woods last week..minus -8 overnight ..turned diesel to jelly and excavator wouldn't run.. keep up the missions so the rest of us have something decent to watch .bring on opening day and some spring hatchs ..track you down and catch up before then maybe. Cheers for another great video Mark, these keep me going. Reminds me of winter fishing on the Tongariro dipping the rod in the river too unfreeze the guides so you could cast and a quick dip of the reel after hookup to get rid of the ice and ensure it hadn't been jammed with ice. Wish we had some winter rivers open down here. Only get a couple of hundred metres near the mouth :^( The lakes are OK but don't have the same appeal. GL for September!

That's a great winters day session Mark. Some clonking good condition browns here mate. That 7½ lb one was a beaut. It's always awesome to be out on the river any time you can get and it looked like the weather turned it on for ya. It's good we are getting a bit of rain now though. The rivers certainly need it.

Unfortunate on day one with some of them fish being quite skinny. But always good to get onto some browns anycase. The next trip, howling cold wind But the hard yards paid off with some clonking good browns. Good thing that guy camping there didn't take up too much of your water. Good video Mark

You have to love the wind that rips down that valley. There have been some very nice fish in their this season but not as many.

It's goes without saying but you sure got onto some "Good Browns" "Good Browns" which was music to my ears hearing that.. Some beautiful specimens indeed. Not a bad memory to store for the bank to finish off another season.

Too much fun. Only takes one special fish to make a trip. You got several.

Word of advice: Please show us more of the surrounding scenery. We're interested in that just as much as the fishing. It felt like we were looking down at the water and the ground for most of the video. It felt a little disorientating. You might have to pan out and up a little bit to include more of the background scenery in your filming while still focusing on the fish in the water. Other than that, great fishing as usual.

Top video, Mark. All the fish bar one from the side feeder, which was skinny, but the rest were all deep in there condition. Stonking 7 pounders, too. Great trip worthy of the hard efforts you put in with your hike. I must say it's a familiar area to me, but what a great spot. Good on ya 👍

That's a red letter day there Mark on the river. That Back water run proved to be rather fruitful. What a clonking good brown around the 8 minute mark. They were all in good condition, to be fair. Great feed and tunes back at the camp site, well-deserved. That was a good watch, mate. Good on you ..

Great stuff, Mark. That fish around the 5.50 min mark was a clonking good browny for sure. Nice deep trout. This time of the year, there are few rivers without the unfortunate sight of a good number of boot prints up the river unless you go miles and miles up the headwaters, but even then. Great adventure, anycase
