Schubert Avakian who has been very active in the Persian Music Industry here in Los Angeles and worldwide for many years, is by no doubt one of the best Music Producers who has created many great hits for a lot of our Persian Music Artists throughout the years. I think the fact that Persian Pop Music is still alive and has developed through the past years and exceeded in its standard, modernization and development of extraordinary sounds and arrangements, is all because of one special person as well as a few others, and that is Schubert Aziz who has worked so hard and helped many artists to become the famous faces that they are today in our Persian Entertainment Business. I think they honestly all owe their success in music to Dear Schubert. As someone who loves Music & Singing with all my heart, definitely my No.1 passion in life, I have always been a fan of Schuberts Music and his live performances on stage as well as his amazing musical abilities on keyboard which also happens to be one of the instruments that I learned how to play since I was a child, my music coach being our legend Mr. Anoushiravan Rouhani . Schubert is indeed a super amazing artist and I just want to say that I hope Schubert Jan that one day I will have the honor to meet with you in person and work with you in regards to the Music Projects that I have in mind. I know in my heart that we can create incredible music together. Sepideh is known for being 'The Shakira of Iran' a beautiful young lady with great vocal ability, dance performance and unique style in fashion and make-up. And to Sepideh Azizam, I just want to say that you are an AMAZING PERSIAN FEMALE ARTIST and I really mean that from the bottom of my heart. I remember when you started in the trio band called 'Silouette' managed by Shahbal Shabpareh many years ago and how you shined among the other girls in that group right from the start and after some time when you left the band you went beyond all limitations that exist for a female artist in our society, broke all the walls and boundaries, and became a very successful female Music Artist in the Persian Community all around the world. I bow to you Sepideh Jan for your courage and the fact that you never gave up on your goal and dream. I want you to know that I have the exact same mindset as you do as I believe MUSIC should be for everyone because it really symbolizes LOVE and there should be no limitations for a female artist to show her talent artistically in different ways by performing on stage. And you my dear Sepideh Azizam have done it perfectly. A few years ago I remember seeing an interview with you on Tapesh TV, which was an episode from 'Uncut' with Mr. Alireza Amirghassemi, it was amazing. He asked you questions and you answered them with such POWER & CONFIDENCE. I love your character Sepideh Jan, your mindset and the fact that you have 'NO FEAR' what so ever to do what you believe in. That is just amazing and I wish all women in our society were like that, especially Persian Women, because then we could all reprogram the mindset of our society and bring more freedom and opportunities among women. And surprisingly you even named one of your albums 'No Fear' and another one I believe you wanted to call 'No Regret'. I just want to say Sepideh Jan that I hear you sister, I hear your inner feelings, pains & heartache which not only we have experienced in our lives being a Female Persian Music Artist but even many of our sisters in our country Iran have gone through the same thing. It should not be like that. People should RESPECT us females even if we wish to step out of our comfort zone and succeed as Music Artists and Actresses in the Western Society and Cultures, like for example Golshifteh Farahani Aziz whom I admire incredibly for her courage, strength and wisdom, and even Mrs. Shohreh Aghdashloo who brought us pride by getting nominated to be a part of the Oscars here in Hollywood. You are all my HEROES in life, especially not to mention Googoosh Azizam, who is my true inspiration in life, someone who has experienced so many ups & downs in her life and yet she still shines bright like a diamond on that stage every time she has a concert anywhere in the world. These are the women who are my role models, whom other Persian Women must learn from because they are all doing something different from what our culture has dictated to us for many years. And I strongly believe that it is time for a BIG CHANGE to happen in our society. We must unite and NOT allow religion or any other cultural norms & values to steal away our dreams, our god given talents because Music, Singing & Acting are our inner talents given to us as a gift. They are blessings in our lives and it must be blossomed and showcased to the entire world. More female artists should appear in the Persian Entertainment Business and dare to be different. That is the beauty of it all. I also LOVE your STRENGTH Sepideh Jan because even though you were faced with many pullbacks, people getting up against you for what you did, but in my opinion, you started a movement showing the world that PERSIAN WOMEN IN THE MUSIC BUSINESS ALSO HAVE RIGHTS IN THIS WORLD AND THEY ARE FREE TO EXPRESS THEMSELVES IN ARTISTIC WAYS AND SHINE IN THE SPOTLIGHT. Those who don’t understand us, well all I have to say to them is ‘Tough Luck’, we are not here to satisfy everybody’s needs. Not everyone in the society has the same taste and opinion. Obviously it is impossible to satisfy everyone around you in life. That is why being in this business for many years myself since I was a child, mostly working with American and European Bands and also being a Womans Activist, I really admire your courage Sepideh Azizam and I want to let you know that I hope one day , you & I, can get together with other likeminded women and perhaps produce an amazing song, a duet, honoring all Persian Women around the world, who feel they have been trapped for so many years but wish to step out into the Persian Entertainment Business and shine. We can set ourselves as examples and lead the way for all of them, just like other famous female singers did the same thing for us in the past. I'am sure that will be an amazing project to do together with the guidance and support of Schubert Aziz. That is one of my visions in life in regards to MUSIC. I believe it is time for a BIG CHANGE and hand in hand we can all make it happen one day soon. This is a MusicVideo of me singing a Cover Song of one of Googoosh's most beautiful songs called 'Shab-e-Sepid' ' which means 'The White Night' by Well Known Poet & Lyricist , Ostad Arjmand Mr. Shahyar Ghanbari and Music by Persian Composer & Singer, Mr. Mehrdad Asemani. This is a beautiful emotional and very sensual song that touches your heart on a deeper level. The lyrics to this song is beyond amazing.I wish I could translate it from Persian to English so everybody watching this video could understand the beauty of the words. Even though the song has a sad tune to it but the story is about a person in love, missing and longing their other half. I have to admit that the lyrics to this song is so beautiful and exceptional that I just had to sing it from my heart and feel the emotion of this song within every cell of my body. Many of Googoosh's songs specially the slow ones are like a form of meditation for me because of her amazing soothing voice and the emotion she puts in each song, that's why I love to sing her songs all the time and reflect upon whatever is happening in my life at that specific moment in time. This is personally one of my favorite songs among many. I hope you will enjoy listening to this beautiful song and watching my video. At the end I want to dedicate my video to Dear Googoosh Aziz & Nazaninam who is so dear to my heart, my No.1 idol in the whole world, and let her know that I'am thinking about her always. This is a Music Video of me singing a Country Song called 'Boat on the River' which is a Cover Song I did in my Album 'Destiny' produced back in 2004.I love the melody of this song so much probably because I'am a big fan of Country Music as well as other styles of music. This song reminds me of those old Western Movies we used to watch when we were kids with the Cowboys, the horses, the Indians like the famous movie ' The Good, The Bad & The Ugly' with Clint Eastwood.
