"Before turning on electrical power there is a few things that we must check : -Thrust lever : Idle -Ignition : Off -Gear lever : down -Windshield Whippers : Off" OMG imagine you forgot to turn off the whippers and just start the thing ! It could have some catastrophic consequences as such as intermittent loss of visual cues and ground crew...
