I discovered John's poems today, the first day of 2024 - and his birthday. I think of this coincidence as a gentle yet powerful blessing for the year. I will carry his incredible insights with me in the journey of becoming who I am and living the life my heart wants. Blessings to you forever, John.

Wow! I have a few of his books, but to hear him speak with such beauty, wisdom & humour has utterly stunned me. I'm already searching for more of these talks❤

To be authentic ❤ 22:56
I used to be fortunate to live by the sea. Sheltered by sweet smelling evergreens on one side of a gravel road my dog and I would walk listening to John’s words on beauty as I gazed onto the nearby islands and shimmering waters. His voice was soothing to my spirit and his words resonated in the deepest way as I experienced my surroundings . Thank you for posting this. I miss him and hope to see more of his works on your site.
I have been immensely gifted to find John O'Donohue, his poetry and being, and I am so grateful for this opportunity to open new doors for myself through his work.
Legend of a runner! RIP
Love this about listening to the 7 thoughts we have getting a blank white page so I can and enjoy my feeling s of aloneness ☘️
Love his perspective on Sin being stuck in woundedness ❤️☘️

Life is meant to "be" lived...in this human body....Find the abundance, beauty and wonder!! :)
So much food for thought and reflection here. Tomorrow 14 years ago John's life here on earth at least ended, however may he have experienced being known as intimately by God in God's presence as he shared in his talk here. He continues to be a blessing through his writings and recordings such as this. Thank you.
yes, we are already in heaven if only we could drop our personal story and thought patterns. So what is it all about - why do we have these brains, minds, bodies in the first place?
The guts of life for reflection.

20:40 because an awful lot of people, if you give them a comfortable pillow, they'll sleep their way through most of it. Honest to God!

53:25 you predicted what's going on today 🤔 😳 👀 I am totally with you and if you can hear me, on my birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 today, I received the message I've been waiting all my life. I'm awake and aware a ready to write ✍ in that journal my real biography, not the people's perception of me. In the second scene of my journey in my late 50s, I'm grateful with a contented heart ❤ to thank my God for creative minds like you. I came to awareness not by chance But by choice And every time I chose something I know I missed out on something else But I know deep down I walked on this earth 🌎 With an awaken heart ❤ Love&peace to all
gosh, what a beautiful soul he was. his laugh is everything. 💚✨🍀 ...I wish I could've met him. 😞
Me too 🙌🙌🙌💛💛💛
So much wisdom to take with me in these tumultuous times.
What a waffler
He wasn't. He was always very coherent. Very clear.
I got a phone call early one summer from a friend here in Connecticut. Would l be interested in training with an Irishman he had staying with him? It was 85 l believe and l was only a year out of college. We did many tough workouts together! I became great friends with he and his coach Brendan. I drove them to races and ran in a few myself. Great times that l'll never forget! I learned of his passing at a local race in July where the announcer said a former course record holder had died. Sadly, Jerry and l never kept in touch. I think of him often. I remember when they 'made me an official Irishman'. I'm smiling now!
Thank you!
Miss him dearly

Here I am.
Wonderful 🍀
What a prescient talk - about John’s own life, as well as ours. What a gift he left us with his writing and his speaking. I can’t imagine anyone not benefitting from this talk.
Oiche mhaith Mr Kiernan, my teacher in 2nd and 3rd class, St Brigid's, Foxrock. That was in 1981 and 1982 when he won the Dublin City Marathon. My recollection is that he came to work at St Brigid's the day after he won the marathon. He is remembered now as a world-class runner and an honest pundit. I remember him as a charismatic, kind, strict teacher. Banana aibi...
Jerry Kiernan RIP. I used to see him the odd time at school races, and it was like seeing somebody famous, which no matter which way you look at it, and hear his story, he was. A real character, and is a genuine loss to Irish sport.
