Will this mean they have to close the beaches in Amittyville?

Why should they? They don't close the forest somewhere else just because there is a bear. The risk of drowning is much higher than being killed by a shark, so why they should close a beach because of a shark possibility?

@@mikeoglen6848 If you want to make sure it doens't happen, go into a swimming pool. If you want to go into the sea you know there is always that minimal risk, decide if you want to take the risk or not. Life always is a risk. When you drive a car, it is also always a risk reward decision because there is always a minimal chance some truck hits you. Maybe learn how you can reduce the chances (don't swim at river outlets, don't swim near fishers, don't swim near seals, don't splash on the surface, watch out for birds above sea because then there is prey in the water and that attracts sharks, ...). Also learn how to behave when you see a shark: Stay vertical, watch the shark, don't move, push him aside if he comes close of push water against his gills. These are all things you can do to reduce the risk compared to people who don't care at all. But if you are in the sea it is your own risk. At least you know that sharks are there. Some people even go in and even don't know sharks could be there or think a human is invulnurable. But when you are in the forest, sea, the jungle or in African gras landscape you avtively take part of the food chain. I will fly to Egypt next week to dive with oceanic whitetip sharks. I know I could stay home and stay safe. But I want to go there and see them and dive and see other animals, too. But I know how to behave when I see a shark. Have seen many of them. However there is always a risk even for an expert (and I am no expert but got a shark training from an expert).
