I am right there with you, just had to sand off a quarter panel, trunk lid and bumper cover because I had a ton of very small solvent pop in the clear. I’m switching to a slower clear coat and I may wait much longer between coats, even if I have to light sand the clear.

What size size bolts did you use to put everything back together? When I took mine apart they were so rusty they broke.

The best and simplest install for CX-5 is the Audio control LC 1.800 paired with skars Dual 10 inch subwoofers in the skar box (they save space and sound like 12:s) that will make your rear view mirror useless as it constantly aims itself to the floor when the bass drops. With this amplifier there is no need for any other items and the sound is perfect. The amp is a SQ amp that with proper power will put out 1100 watts easily as many CZcams videos have dino test to show. This amp has a built in line out converter that accepts way more power/watts than what is going to the factory subwoofer, has a built in accubass feature to restore the bass that has been limited from factory processing of the sound and a GTO switch that turns the music signal into a remote that can also send a remote to other equipment if you ever decide to do some DSP work so no need to run a remote line ever again. No LOC ever again no matter what vehicle and a very good range of power and sound as a starting point, heck or finishing point depending on the user. Start out without any additional power/on factory power. Once the bass bug bites grab a good AGM and do the big 3 and fall in love again. Thank me later. Ground to rear seatbelt mount and if you use wire splices there won't even be a need for electrical tape due to a lack of cuts to any wire. Takes less than 35 minutes if your crimper is on hand for battery terminals. Items to buy: 1. Amp, 2. Cheap wiring kit with only speaker wire, 0-4 awg wires and battery terminal connectors- minus rca jacks (not needed since you're running spliced subwoofer wires straight into the detachable high level terminals on the amp). 3. Subwoofers and/or sub/box combo. 4. Wire reducers.

Hey man I was wondering if you could test something for me. I bought multiple scanners but none have been able to bleed the ABS pump. Could you check if this scanner supports it? Dying to get my car back on the road

How has it held up if you still have the car?

You should only need 1000, 2000 & 3000 grit sandpaper. The McGuires kit comes with a polish pad that has fibers, not a flat disc. I find it easier to open the hood & tape off the rest. I sand with a 5 inch orbitor or a detail tool but be carefull with the detail not to go full speed (20,000 rpm) as it can melt the plastic. I go through at least 20 oz of water.

I ENJOYED the video, and NOT being an electrician myself, I liked your finished look. I do agree with some of the comments from the pros, and you can tell who they are from the commentors that just want to crap on your efforts, about connectors, and wire routing. My only concern, and I would bet anything you have already corrected it, was the ground wire in the metal box. Hell, maybe you did it during the install and it just got cut during editing? Not many have commented on the video production, it was excellent! The audio, the close up shots and then wide shots - all of it. I wish you all the success, I hope my first few video's come out this good.

Even the replacement vacuum pump will fail after a while. I did a pump delete and went with crankcase vacuum. GM sells a delete kit which is 2 screws to seal off the oil ports after you remove the pump and then just use a 3/8" vacuum hose from brake booster to the crankcase vent on the driver side of engine. There are CZcams vids that show how this is down. Since the delete my brakes work better than before and not one time have I gotten the hard brake issue.

I wonder how much of this is relevant to the new 2023 and beyond CX50. I have the stock system so I can't tap into the subwoofer in the back like you can with the Bose and the stock system puts out good volume that's clear just not enough space. Thinking about just getting a smaller subwoofer that fits right underneath the seat so I don't sacrifice any cargo space

I have an Rain Bird ST8 controller. I noticed ALL my grass getting dry and found the controller flashing "Err 77" except the first "7" was turned facing the second "7". When I tried a manual run, it would fail and flash "No AC". I spent over a half an hour on the phone with a Rain Bird technician. He was very kind and patient and tried a number of things including a key press sequence which performed a factory reset. Ultimately he decided that the controller was bad, and since it was out of warranty I would have to purchase a new one. He suggested the TRU controller. I purchased one from Home Depot the next day. When I hooked it up it also failed and was displaying, "Master control valve shorted or high current." I went to the master control valve and opened it manually. Then I disconnected the black wire from the "MAS" terminal on the controller (this is the wire for the master control valve) and the controller and watering system started working fine. I went to my master control valve, disconnected the the solenoid wires, took my multi-tester and checked the solenoid's resistance. It measured zero; the solenoid was bad. I left the master control valve disconnected and hooked my old ST8 controller back up. It now worked fine, too. SO, unfortunately, that error code with a backwards 7 facing a normal 7 is not in the technician's troubleshooting handbook, or perhaps my error code was just an anomaly. It took hooking up a different controller, the TRU, to get an error code that actually pointed to the problem. I am waiting to hear from Rain Bird as to how I get reimbursed for the TRU controller I did not need. Thank you for your video, it is very good. I just post my different problem here in case someone else experiences the same thing and this will help them. Regards.

just a heads for for everyone. The vacuum pump replacement is MUCH more difficult on a 4 wheel drive model (transfer case).
