Core - first year common subjects..in second year you choose which subject or specialization to opt for. But in IB or bda, you will study IB subjects focused from first year onwards

Bfsi is a growing field, it would have been better if you asked or cross checked first but it's not a big deal really. I always suggest going in core programs comparatively it's easier to transition into a niche after a core but not vice versa. If you convert any flagship program of any institute thn choose that rather than going for a non flagship program of an institution..IMI has good legacy and Roi as well.

In this scenario you can freeze your seat btw it also depends on your program inclination if u see a future in international business and in the global scenario thn it's a good option. I would also suggest you to go through worldwide economic situation. As right now the entire international scenario is not highly promising, rates are soaring high specially in UK the cost will go for you more than 6-7 I guess do a detailed analysis of their cost of living if u from Mumbai u will save living and food expenses here. But in general scenarios a usual mba rather than a specialization opens more options but if u like IB its good
