thank yooooooo !
That' s an amazing video!!
You are so kind
No chance of getting the h7 bulb back in the right place with this video. Hasn't shown the whole process so a waste of time.
wow, I'm sorry to see this. I thought you were only supposed to have it activated when you're on your bike?
Thank you for your comment. No, you don't need to be on a bike for this product to activate. I do hope the two videos I made were of some help to you!!
Yes before I had bought the first one I had been told by a bicycle shop owner where we had first seen this product, that just as you mentioned he had a report of a cyclist who had gone into a petrol station to get a drink and when they bent down it had deployed. Then I heard stories of someone falling off their bike and it did not deeply. I was so desperate to protect my wife's head that I decided to give it a go. As you can see from my first video we did test it out, with the kind of movements she would make in the pool. It did not deploy until my son fell face down. I thought it was amazing and proceeded to buy 3 more which all deployed for very different reasons. We had to admit defeat and stop buying them. I also did contact Hovding directly. They were not a bit interested in communicating with me.
thanks you
You are most welcome. I do hope this video has helped you in some way.

French piece of sh*t. Took me about an hour to change a bulb
Of course creates permanent hearing damage with a bang so close to the ears. Whoever came up with this apparently has low intelligence and so do those who have bought or are buying this idiotic invention.
WOW you made it look so easy. Not gonna happen with my 2011 model - can barely get my wifes hand in between the pipe and light console.
Sorry it was of no help to you. Don;t give up
Why is all these videos showing drivers side and not passengers
This is the passenger side with the battery. The video explains how to do both sides unless your steering wheel is on the left??
Hi Everyone an update for you. My wife finally got to see a cardiologist and neurologist and the cardiologist seems to think it was her very low blood pressure which was causing the blackouts. They have had her on meds for this for the last 12 months. She says she feels much better about herself. Hoping this is the solution we have been searching for the last 17 years!!
lol... my local carparts store "quick fix" changed the battery side bulb and told me the other side was too hard to change.
Look at you John the big Mechanic? Do you remember helping me replacing two differential shafts my Holden I had back in the good old days? 🤔
O ya long time ago now
Fantastic
Thank you Jim
manufacturers must stop doing this. it's completely unacceptable not to be able to change the freaking light bulbs as with some other cars where you just have to unclip the rubber/plastic, and turn the bulb anti-clockwise a bit, then out.
Yes 100%
Top tip about removing the battery and moving the tray for access, I'd been dreading a front off scenario and liked your defiance about not going down that route Still a pain of a job (30 mins nearside) for a bulb though. Many thanks.
You are most welcome, glad it helped you. Thanks for your kind words.
I managed to do it without taking anything out! - excellent video - thank you!
Thank you, and great job!!
It doesn’t protect the face . I wear a custom made helmet with a face guard, not the one on my picture here . I think nothing can replace a an helmet .
Hi Patrick thank you for your comment. We have tryed the helmet but she found it uncomfortablel and also made her get too hot in the pool atmosphere. do you suffer with blackouts or seizures yourself? Whay do you have to ware your helmet?
@@pinnerphotography i have severe epilepsy, I do have a DANMAR with a FACE GUARD, that is the one on the picture you can see . I have a custom made helmet with a face guard that is the one I was talking about.it offer lot more protection than the DANMAR.
@@patrickpat8878 Hi Patrick the link won't open for me? I have had a look at the Danmar helmets. Thank you
@@pinnerphotography hi , if you ever bought an helmet from DANAMR , get it directly from them , you won’t find any better price , the one with a face guard is about 235 $ US , if you look on some medical retailers you will find the same helmet up to 800 $ , yes nearly 3 time the price . So get it directly from the company.
@@patrickpat8878 Patrick thank you again for your help and advice. Do you have to wear your helmet all through the day and if so how do you find it?
Hovding cannot say this will work for you, purely because of their legal department. However: it is triggered by sudden acceleration and is likely to have deployed in the video when your wife fell. I would have her wear a bike helmet, but nobody wants to wear those ugly, uncomfortable things all day. She may be resistant to wearing this constantly, but she will quickly get used to it, and will get her life back. You will have to stock up on a few of these, so I suggest hunting them out on ebay and other online second-hand markets where you may find them for about £100-ish. Expensive on accidental triggering! and annoying... but very cheap indeed compared to irreparible brain damage. It's not a perfect solution, but a rather clever one and I commend your innovative thinking. If this doesn't work, you will find out soon enough. Your case is probably the best advert for the company I have ever seen. Please keep us updated here, because we care about the outcome. Think about keeping a blog, and sharing. The very best of luck! You are a lovely family.
Thank you Mr. Nzeribe for your comments. Yes, it is very frustrating that Hovding did not even want to get into a dialog with me. We have tried 3 of them and found they all deployed much easier than the first one we tested. If the first one had deployed the way the other 2 did we would not have got our hopes up that this was the solution to 16 years of heartache. So a big letdown to find they deployed from everyday movements. It is not about the cost as we have come to the conclusion it is not the blackout or the seizure which could take her life. But the trauma to her head every time she smashes it open from the force of the impact. We will not stop searching as we cannot lose such a special woman. I believe somewhere in this big world somebody knows why this happens to my wife. The medical people we have seen and there have been many don't seem to have any answers for us. Thank you again for your concern. Yes you are right I have a fantastic family and this is what helps us all to keep going. Take care of yourself...
@@pinnerphotography Listen, I'm just a stranger on the internet but I will help you if I possibly can. How can I be in touch?

Looking good John! I like the technique 👍🏻
Thank you Simon from Ascend Productions. Try it out and let me know how it works for you?
Hi John sorry to hear that the Hoving bag was unsuccessful
Yes it was disappointing
I think its bad for the Hoving system to set off in such a simple movement as I was under the Impression that the protection system would not activate so easily. From what you are saying is that if someone gets off the bike a bit to quick then the Hovig system will inflate.
Thank you for your comment Karl W. Yes I have heard of a cyclist's foot slipping off the peddle and the airbag deploys, also a lady who was wearing hers and went into a shop to buy a drink when she bent down it also deployed. So yes it is a fantastic system, but far too expensive for the number of false deployments!! The search for the answer will go on. The medical world can not give us a diagnosis of help.
I'm not a Hövding user, as i'm currently researching wether to buy one. However Hövding is very very clear that the product is only for cycling. And you should only have the Hövding activated while you are cycling, so not mounting the bike, not when going into the shop, not when hugging a friend whilst on a bike, not while bending forward to tie your shoes. I'm sorry to hear that this product didn't work (and I only found your channel since you had commented on a Hövding video), however it's extremely clear that this product is only to be used whilst cycling.
Yes indeed!!
🥺❤️
Hope we can get answers soon 🤞🏻
Thanks for taking the time to make the video, I hope the Hövding works for your wife. All the best for the future.
Thank you Marc for your kind words and your support

A big thank you. Maybe I have bigger than average hands, but I found it impossible to get to the nearside dipped beam headlight bulb. I looked at the Hayn*s video which showed you must remove wheel, wheel arch liner, front bumper and then unfix the headlamp assembly to change bulb and then of course reassemble it all back again. Followed this video and had it done in about 30mins tops. Really helpful, many thanks again.
Thank you Marc glad to be of help to you!!
Thanks for that. Saved me so much time. Yer a star.
You are so welcome Bruce what a great name to live up to. Glad to be of help

You are most welcome. I hope it helped you out.
Thanks so much for posting this, i have giant hands and couldn't gain access to the battery side bulbs but after watching your helpful tips, did it in just few minutes. I have no idea whats going on with these people saying they don't need to remove battery- you all must be very dainty or have no skin left on your knuckles ! Thanks again
Thank you TheSlinkyBinky I am so glad this has helped you and some others. As for the others some people just like to knock others for trying to help!! So glad to be helpful to you. Take care and be safe in these strange times. My wife has just told me I need to change the head light on the drivers side now. Wish me luck.
Complete and utter ridiculous design..... Thanks for the video it did help, cut my hands to shreds though lol.... 👍👍
Yes I agree with you it is not a very well Thought Out design but as long as you got it done sorry about the hands hopefully the cuts are not too deep and will heal soon
I did manage to replace the dipped beam and high beam bulbs without removing anything but it was "fun" and it only took me around 2 hours in both headlights. But thank You for sharing your advices on this
Thank you for your comment. Do you think it would have helped or been quicker to remove the battery?
@@pinnerphotography I guess it would've helped but since I am not that good at removing car components I am actually very pleased that I've managed to replace those bulbs without removing the battery. The space for working is quite restricted, and my thin fingers did help me 😊
@@ciprividi661 Thats great as long as you got it done all is well.
@@pinnerphotography Yes, indeed. I am so eager to work on replacing the indicator lights as those seem to be even more fun to work on.
@@ciprividi661 Good Luck
Thank you for this. Why car manufacturers make it utterly infuriating to do simple maintenance is beyond me. Again thank you !!!
You are most welcome I am glad to be of service
You forgot to say .....then you drop the new bulb in the headlight unit because your hands can't get in there properly and becomes irretrievable so what you must do is tie some cotton on the new bulb before you try to fit it to fish it out if you do it again.....
Sorry to hear this happened to you it did not happen when I did it so sorry I could not comment on it but I hope you got it done in the end and certainly a lot cheaper than sending your car to a garage to have it dismantled to replace one little cheap bulb
Thanks for posting, very helpful. The water bottle removal meant I could just squeeze in with my shovel hands.
You are welcome Pat
Just take car to Halfords, pay them a couple of quid and they will fit it for you.................simples !
Chris Isaac good luck
More like seventeen quid
@@pinnerphotography2580 And they lost two bulbs down the engine tray. So Halfords was a waist of time!!
Couple of quid 😂. Times 10. Rather do it myself than pay Halfrauds a "couple of quid"
Thanks for taking the time to post this. Managed to do the passenger's side without removing the battery..... v.tight though. 👍
Mr Jolly glad it was of some help to you. Thanks for your kind comment
You don't need to remove anything you can squeeze your hands in there but it is tight. THe hardest part is the spring clips...
Cool
Not with my hamhock hands lol
Passenger side it depends on the bulb. You can do the dipped bulb without taking the battery or anything out. If it's the sidelight or full beam you probs will need to take battery and surround out for access. Also get one of those magnet on a rod things before you start, if you drop a bulb inside the headlight will save you a lot of grief and let you get bulb out easy.
You might be able to do them all without taking anything out if you're careful but if you have a jack and tools might actually be easier to do it the way they say in the haynes and remove the headlight itself. Also if you remove the battery before you do that check if you have a security coded radio that you have the code. Otherwise if you disconnect the battery you might not be able to use the radio without the code
And lastly, check your battery voltage before you start and if you wanna check the lights are working after the job do that with the engine running so alternator is charging the battery. I replaced the dipped bulb, left lights running for 30s tops without engine idling and it drained the battery enough that I had to jump start it. You want to have at least 12.6V on the battery to be safe before testing with car stationary. 55W each bulb is about a 9A draw just on dipped.
yeahalex thanks got your feedback. Well done
Thanks for your feedback everything helps in situations like this well done
No problem thanks for the video, really useful! Just thought these tips might help someone as well :)
I have just replaced nearside bulb .i encountered a problem when the retaining clip fell off . Struggled for about 30 mins blindly to get the clip back on failing miserably ! I drove the car to the local garage asking if any one that had experience could clip the bulb back in for me .apparently the clip was not supposed to fall off just hang down .the mechanic says that bumper off headlight out was the way they did it at 1.5 hours labour .so what i did was to **** the clip off .i then took a dish washing sponge ,a good quality thick one cut in in half used some gaffa tape double folded to act as double sided tape and then stuck it to the rubber dust seal .then pushed refitted the dust seal and the sponge pushed the bulb snuggly against its seating and saved myself a ****ing bundle of cash .......
Well done Matt you sorted that problem out
Did you use a mirror or your phone to see what you were doing? Do that and you should be able to see well enough to get clip back in
Bumper off and headlight out is the best way though if you can raise the car. It's defo possible without but it is fiddly
Hah, i remember changing my bulb the first time i lost the clip it fell into the engine compartment. At the time you couldn't buy them on there own so renault dealer said i needed a whole unit.... stripped the undercover off and found it. Now dont listen to anyone that says you don't remove them because you can. They don't do it because its a bugger to get in. You need to squeeze the bottom pins together and slot them into the two holes at the bottom of the holder, it may be at the top in your case then the clip kinda swings. You should get a good light and a mirror so you can see what your doing. It's a real pita. Then you put the bulb in and push it back in. I don't listen to mechanics. Cam belt went on my car and they said scrap it or pay £2k for an engine to be put in. I went online googled and watched videos on how to rebuild an engine £250 later and shes been running for another 100k. don't get ripped off!
Thanks for the vid - been driving around all week with the battery side dip bulb out as not looking forward to changing it, until seeing this. Possibly could have done just without battery removal but think i would have lost some skin and taken longer (with my club fingers!) and really it's a few minutes to remove it and it did make life easier. I did use mobile phone to take image of bulb and holder as couldn't remember how those ones clipped in. Anyway all done fairly quickly and I could see the road again tonight.
Great Boodle Avis that is why I decided to put the Vid up to help other normal people like ourself. I was told I had to take the car to a mechanic to get the job done?? Glad it helped you.
Thanks a lot. You did a great job with this video. Never had thought that I would have to take out that water pipe. The whole bulb changing system looks to me a french charade.
Thank you for your comment Lulian. You are correct it is a bit excessive to change a bulb, the manufactures should think of it.
you dont need to take anything out unless your a big guy but helpful video
Cool
cheers buddy. So i just gotta mess around with those cheap plastic clips then.
yes that is it pretty easy once you have done it wish you luck
