Coach, love the idea, but skip pass from 4 to 2 seems risky against a press. Why not pass from 4 to 5, 2 and 3 can run down opposite sidelines to wings, 4 and 1 then fill in just above midcourt and 5 has great options. What do you think?

Love the video, I have a question about the purpose of the 360 spins. What’s the importance of them and why should that be something implemented in skill development training?

Ran a very similar 4 man breaker, worked when I could get kids to run it. One issue we had was a short guard getting trapped on the sideline. Picking the ball up in the corners of death.

I like everything except the drive left move left. I would say drive left move right and look for 5 coming backside. Then if nothing is there, 3 can continue to the left corner and 5 pop back to the right corner. Drive left move left is a lot of extra running for 3 to go back to the right corner and also 1 position coming all the way around to the top wing to fill in and also running into 3 when they're both cutting to the same block!?

The best press break I ever watched, as a coach, was Green Valley HS, Las Vegas. They used the 5 to inbound, 3 and 4 were on the opposite baseline. The 1 and 2 worked together to start the press break. The 5 was coached to be the best passer on the team.

When you throw the ball back to 1 opposite guard 2 rotates to middle while 5 rotates over to ball side wing area - 3 clears to weak side of floor. My question is does 4 stay wide in the back court? So if the pass goes to 2 "middle" he has a 3 on 2 situation with 5 & 3. "Correct"?

First of all, thank you HoopSense for what you have done. I just found a few of your videos and the ones I’ve seen are brilliant, focused, and done with the spirit of improving understanding and execution of The Game. To me, they stand out in a world of CZcams click bait. From what I have seen so far I will be studying all your videos closely. I’ve played hoops for decades and am always looking to become more effective and increase my Bball IQ. I don’t understand why this stuff is not more prevalent yet, but I will use it for sure with my 4the grade son and his team. Young kids often struggle with rushing their layups, seeing the court once they start their move, and also figuring out which foot to take off of. These drills take care of ALL of that. They demonstrate how much time two steps actually is if you are balance s and don’t rush. Not a complete basketball program for sure, but brilliant fundamentals. And to some of the comments below, there are NO travel violations in this video. Notice the ball being dribbled next to the foot during the protect dribble, and then two steps follow. Every time. There is nothing that says you must continue moving in the same direction as your dribble.( Eurostep anyone? ) The key is to be balanced on one foot (thus the 360 spin practice basics), so one can react to the situation (notice the eyes up!) and be able to change direction based on what the defense is giving.

Which one do you think is better to press if our team is faster and have more stamina, but we are weaker in rebounding? I want to press and I think we can close down our opponent, but which one we should learn 1-3-1 diamond or 2-2-1 or this one 1-2-2. I want to put max pressure for our opponent team
