Here, with Karpa, we had a clear vision. A dancefloor hit with a good sound and a catchy vocal. We chose G minor for its lively feel. The 1/8 bass will make every listener or raver move. I think the title "Showtime" was more than ideal.

Every track on this EP has some good hooks and ideas but every track also has something (one or two sounds, a certain buildup,..) that's somehow off and that ruins it (for me anyway).

As a longtime dnb head it never ceases to amaze me how this once edgy, intelligent, dark, broody music genre has evolved into this kind of amphetamine infused, loud (yet certainly not 'dark'), obnoxious and pretentious (and exceedingly repetitive) garbage in such a short timespan. Fortunately I see more and more artists today who are returning to the roots and the last few years have somewhat restored my faith in the genre... But the 2010-2020 decade was a rough one for (real) dnb.
