In my much cheaper (Not SD) recorder, stopping recorder automatically saves the file under a numerical file name. I'm assuming the MixPre series behave in similar fashion.
In MOST recorders, hitting STOP in recording automatically saves the file. Is that the same with the MixPre series?

Hello, not sure you are still following the responses on this video but I'm glad I paused to watch it. I happen to have four PAR-64, 1000w theater floods that I'm in the process of replacing with LED. When I tell people about them they get scared, just like you said but I say it's the most beautiful 3200K ever. Until I watched your video I didn't know that the CRI for tungsten was like 99 to 100. That explains why I like the 3200K from these fixtures so much. Thanks for this video.
Haven't used mine in a while so this is a good refresher. I'm also setting up my GH5 to automatically trigger recording in the Mixpre (via HDMI).

Could someone please put in the comments what frame rate each number on the rotary dial represents?
In my menu under record for some reason the option to change sample rate and bit depth is not there? Wonder if I need to update the firmware or something, any idea whats going on? I have looked through all menus and can't change sample rate or bit depth unless I am using it as an audio interface for cubase - then I can change it. Just can't figure out a way to change sample rate and bit depth settings in stand alone.

Sounds like you're in Basic Mode. Go to Menu -> System -> Mode -> select Advanced or Custom to access the sampling rate/bit depth settings. This video doesn't cover the different mode options.

Which are best battery to use ?
Depends. Definitely v-Mount Battery (e.g. 95wh) for long runtime and reliability. But these can be pretty expensive. Adding a beefy Powerbank with USB C ist probably most economic and will still give you long battery life

Because it’s super accurate, reliable, and built to last. I’ve owned mine for 15 years. Only now do I need to send it in for maintenance. Reason being - it’s been dropped way too many times by careless camera assistants. 🤬

what brand of moleskin are you using?
Generally it can be any kind, I know you don't necessarily want medicated although I didn't know that existed until a few videos ago. There is also professional variance from Ursa and the like manufacturers that are a little bit more stretchy and designed for Audio ease-of-use.
