Hi there! Given your love for his singing, I think you should be aware he's actually performed in quite a few musicals! I'm a professional archivist and researcher who writes a Substack blog called 'A Tennantcy To Act' about my decade-long research into David's very early theatre work (as well as pretty much anything else rare, weird or obscure in his career). You'll be pleased to know my research has shown he's done a number of children's operettas and musical theatre in drama school: in 1989 alone he did at least two musicals - as Benjy in 'The Ghost of Benjy O'Neil' (he did a solo number as well as a group number) and as The Square in 'The Square Who Couldn't Rock 'n' Roll' (he sang at least one solo song). And those are just the ones I've written about so far (believe me, there are plenty of others)! Oh, and he was in 'Merlin' as Arthur at the Dundee Rep in 1992, which was ALSO a musical! And that is why , even those virtue signalling have no business spreading the peanut butter.

My priorities are in a slightly different order. But I appreciate your empathy and care. This well-reasoned response is one that we need to hear. It would mean a lot if David and Michael would speak out. I agree with you that they MUST be disgusted at all of this, and it would do the fandom a lot of good to hear them say as much. But you are right that they are not bulletproof, even if they do seem a lot more insulated from consequences than many of us put together.
