    If you stick with that barrel you could fit an air stripper to match length of the shroud which should give greater sound moderation (not sure on legality of that as its texhnically a second 3rd party moderator). Either way it would be an interesting experiment as my jumbo is loud for an air rifle but mostly in the hammer ping

    You probably won't see too much difference as Hornady, Remington, Federal, and Norma are all manufactured by CCI. That said, I do notice a difference between 17 and 20 grain Hornady rounds. My 17 HMR prefers the 20 grainers. I get a lot of 'split-necks' with the super hot Hornady stuff. Id rather loose 100 fps and retain the accuracy.

    • @Veteranvermincontrol

      Thats something that I heard regarding the manufacturing of the rounds with various brands being the same just branded up differently, Winchester being a exception. I've not tried any 20g yet but will pick some up next time I see some as like you I'm not to fussed about losing FPS

    • @paulh71

      Yeah I will have a play around with the setting on the camera see if I can sort it. I've not encountered any issues with the bolt not being able to cycle due to interference from the moneys or the unit, it sits quite high as it is so should clear most bolts, on the tikka its 60' bolt throw so no chance of that but on my howa 1500 that's got a much more open bolt throw and it works absolutely fine, there cracking little scopes for the money 👍

    Another great video. I did try a Zulus but found it too complicated and reliant on my phone to operate, superb image but a fiddle to use/programme. I've made these comments on a few reviews and forums and recieved a personal contact from Arken, acknowleging this is a problem as there have been a large number of similar comments worldwide. They are in the process of simplifying it and doing away with the need for the phone app. The new upgraded "user friendly" Zulus will be available later this year.

I'm excited to see what the next few years hold for the arken zulus and the brand on the whole. Thanks again for your comment

      @Veteranvermincontrol Před 3 měsíci

      Hi mate, thanks for the comment . I ditched my .22lr after getting the HMR as I felt it was a more versatile round and I was more productive with it than the .22lr The rifle is a tikka t1x with a wildcat panther moderator. I did have a cz457 in .22lr but the tikka is a better choice in my opinion, that's not to say its better, I just prefer the 3 position safety. That said the synthetic stock on the CZ was much better than the tikkas. If you can try some Remington accu-tips 17g give them a try there equally as good as the hornady vmax 👍

    Could you let me know which thermal spotting scope you are using? I'm looking to purchase one for myself but am having trouble deciding. Thank you.

      Hi I'm using the hikmicro lynx 19mm, it's a good unit for the money as it allows you to focus the image where the small lens versions are fixed.
