You have to get it from the dealer. I went everywhere in my town to see if anyone carry the wire. Nobody carry the right gauge wire. So I had to buy from the dealer. If you get lower gauge wire it will overheat your truck will shutoff randomly. If you going to replace it get the same gauge or higher gauge hope it helps.

@@JeannetteRyland apu will run as long the alternator is charging. That’s the serpentine belt, running the alternator and the ac compressor. As long as that belt is on the apu will run and once temp sensor sends the signal engine is hot then it will shut it down.

It will run. The water pump belt only engages the water pump. So as your APU runs, your water pump is not. If this is happening you'll get shutdown codes.

@citizenofearth1000 I have 30 vanguards now Parts are not an issue I get mine same day or next morning. Utilitys I have 9 and they suck on every level they are light doors are flimsy honeslty just junk and they are 2024s.

@@Largecar2165 I had to get a body repair for the vanguard everything was back ordered. My experience was totally different than yours. Good to know your situation is different than mine.

I don’t know if the width of the tire changes. Because you can get wide tire or narrow tire. About 200 pounds in weight reduction and lower rolling resistance for high mpg.

I did have landing gear issues with Great Dane. Utility holds up better. Only issue I had with utility is the floor don’t hold as much. Overall body of utility trailer age very good. Crossmember hold good but the aluminum duct floor has wood which weakens over time. I bought trailer used so I don’t spec them. But I would definitely get higher rated floor. Around 600000 change the o rings and suction tube. O ring dry out and cause this problem

I have seen refers pushing 40k-50. Just keep in mind when you do -10 or -20 loads. If you got carrier you can probably get away with it but if you sb210 or 230 it’s going to struggle specially 110 f temp outside. When it’s really hot outside avoid doing - temps and do your maintenance regularly. You can probably squeeze another yr or 2 out of the unit.

What kind of loads you haul. Do you get oil changes done some local shop. I had good experience with carrier. Mainly because it used kubota engine with no filter or egr stuff on it. Thermoking sb units are very good and reliable units

Never used the green apu. I have experience with tripac and carrier pro. Tripac you can get aftermarket products and replace parts on the cheap. These thing’s only worth it you can fix it yourself otherwise you end up paying a lot for repairs and don’t save much money sometimes even lose money. Hope it helps. I would stay with tripac if I had to choose.

I have replaced many fuses on the apu units in the fleet. Change the fuse with good brand fuse. Hope it helps

Did you try running with fuel cap off or your fuel filter could be clogged try changing it. If the unit runs with fuel keep off than your fuel tank air check valve valve is clogged. Sometimes keeping the fuel cap loose to allow air to enter helps

I heard new ones have better performance. Driver who driven the c15 and Cummins. Like the Cummins better. They don’t like how paccer climbs the hills. If the truck taking to long to climb hills in long route ca to ny in a round trip there is almost 24hrs difference between paccer and Cummins 500hp. Less stress on the driver and less time on the road

Take pictures of the air valve and show to any trailer company that sales airbag, brakes, and drums. They should be able to help you. If you valve getting stuck try pb blast spray. You probably have moisture in your air tanks

Any trailer store should have it that carry trailer brakes, shocks, lights . If you are not in hurry you can get it from Amazon or eBay too. 👍

The frame rail are different and also body panel are different also. It’s hard to get parts for vanguard.

Vanguard are good quality trailers but if you need to get body work that’s where the problems start.

@@citizenofearth1000 actually I have 3 of them. 2 already got some body problems (deep scratches over 6 and 13ft.) and both were repaired on the road in regular trailer shop. Try to find another mechanic.

​@@citizenofearth1000that's good. The wire from the original holder goes right into that breaker? With room for the rubber grommets to secure it as well? And did you secure it somehow in the apu frame or is it suspended by the wires themselves?

Blown fuse somewhere. There is fuses where they put the blower motor. If not there is fuse in apu unit itself 40 amp also there is service on off switch in the apu make sur it’s in the on position

It try the strap wrench the filter was frozen stuck.
