Leg grabs are an indespensable tool in any grappler's arsenal, it is so disappointing that Judo, one of the most effective grappling styles got rid off them. Leg grab should come back and many even the stand up submissions and jointlock takedowns back in the (G)olden days of Judo.
Yes I am
It is suprising to see a 7th Dan Judo Master who can knockout people with throws knocked out by a Pro Wrestler, and LOL Gracie is probably not even gonna last a minute.
This is old-school MMA. Like many Martial Arts and Combat Sports, MMA is watered down over the years. Now days , the standard MMA rules forbid many good techniques such as stomping and soccer kicks, kneeing a downed opponent, piledriving and the 12-6 elbow.
역도산(Yeok Do San) a Korean pro wrestler knocked out the “worlds greatest judoka” Masahiko Kimura, after receiving a challenge from Kimura. While negotiating the fight they eventually said it should be a tie to preserve the pride of both competitors. Kimura decided to try and win the fight despite negotiations but gets knocked out by Yeok Do San
Chidaoboa is one of the best folk jacket wrestling styles. This is the reasons why the Georgians are so successful in Judo.
Wrestling is the first combat sport and one of the most effective ones. Every part of the world has it's own variant of wrestling. It is interesting to see different variants of it around the world.
I would too

This is real taekwondo, the one practiced by the military not the foot tag that we have today. remember "Only you can stop foot fencing" - Kwonkicker
Some of the most feared combatants in kickboxing including, Steve “wonder kick” Vick, Ignacio Capllonch , and Hassan Kassrioui have all use Taekwondo in some form to win and are known for their devastating kicks

Old school TKD should be bought back and become the standardized form of TKD there is a reason why the most feared hand to hand combatants chooses old school TKD as their primary style
agreed shoulder throw for a knife charge counter be also effective and the ankle pick for standing armbar or head lock too
perhaps one of the most effective form of kung fu shuai jiao should not be slept on
Yes 👍
You are a small Chanel, but made a better ranking than the much greater ones. One thing, jiu jitsu is very good for MMA, probably the best for it, but its not suitable for self defense, 80% of the unarmed situations, there are two or more potential agressors, and jiu jitsu has absolutely no answer for that.
I used to be a huge advocate for BJJ and GJJ. However upon further studies and analysis of the style I found that this style lacks in the takedown department and has limited takedown techniques that are either impractical or easily countered. If you cannot take your opponent to the ground then what's the point of the ground fight. Speaking of ground fighting,I found that BJJ's ground techniques lacks in aggression and takes long time to secure a dominant positions of submission which in a street fight or self defense scenario you don't have. I found that Judo is a better option that BJJ when it comes to a choice of grappling style. Judo is known for it's deadly throws and takedowns which me as a practicing Judoka tested and is tried and true for self defense scenarios. As for the ground techniques,Judo's newaza is aggressive and fast(if you don't pin or submit an opponent in a few seconds the ref brings the fight back up ) so the speed and aggression is perfect for a scenario in which time is limited but I suggest you go for stomps and soccer kicks when an opponent is downed. As for multi and armed aggressors Judo has answers to as well. Judo throws are known to put people to sleep on hard surfaces and once one opponent is unconscious gives you time to deal with other opponents. As for armed aggressors Judo got locks similar to the ones of Hapkido such as the kote gaseshi (wrist lock)that are tried and true counters to armed attacks. In self defense applications,I'd use Judo as a grappling style over BJJ and GJJ
