I decided to get one to refinished the for posts of a large deck originally finished 6 years ago with Penofin. I worked with a guy who had all the Mirka stuff and was shocked at the awesomeness of it. Sure beat my self discovered large shop vac and quality random orbital sander (although this dude work well). Before bout the mirka I saw the max XT. I figured you get what you pay for applies well in my life. Now before I get to far I did purchase a MaxXT 8" (9"?) handheld sander for removing or lessening stipple ceilings and prepping floors. It has done so well for the cost it's crazy. I thought the gearbox would have packed up or the motor torches long ago. And although it's not a precision delicate sander it's excellent for second last sand on skin coats on old walls. Blends beautiful. And that LED ring shows every issue on surfaces almost worth it just for the light ring. I imagine if I got one of the Mirka Abranet sanding meshes it would improve it even more. The sanding discs are kinda garbage in that they are very stiff and not flat so they scar the finished surfaces. Regardless I still love the Mirka so much

I thought the busy bee body wasn't cast? I just bought the #7 and the shoulders aren't even close to being 90 degrees to the sole. There is literally an .080" gap at the top of the shoulder to the sole on one side and a .073" gap on the opposite side. The frog isn't even close to flat. The sole wasn't terrible but would need work I'd I was going to keep it. I'm not!

some folks modified their knock-off to fit the tormek rail. So it seems possible, but the one video I saw mentioned there were several modifications to do.

Mirka its over price. we got 4 mirka in our shop they all quit after a year after warranty expired. i bough 3 max xt at amazon for price of one of Mirka. it perform just as good as Mirka and its over a yaer now nothing broken yet

Thank you for you video. I just purchased the dewalt 38l stainless steel shop vac and that very same adapter for my sander. The adapter fits the sand but the adapter does not fit the vac!! But your video explains a lot and what I need to do thanks again.

Could maybe leave it in there for even half that amount of time and it would be dry enough, and save some electricity :D

Is this the same issue, I uploaded a vid that is 1080p60 but when uploaded it’s only shows 720p and 1080p no 60fps

feel stupid for not knowing or thinking of doing this, great video. i got a SD,HD and 4k processing, I got stuck on the HD and 4k after I did this the HD processed straight away but had to wait a couple of minutes for the 4k to finish

Thanks for the video Juan - I am also a long time woodworker just getting into turning. A friend gave me a Shop Smith clone with a slowest speed of 850, which is actually 980RPM, and I tried turning an 8’ round x8” long oak log, and ouch it was like being beaten up. I did not understand about the approach angle, riding the bevel, etc. but also I think the speed was too high. So I will try turning some smaller blanks because of the higher speed. As someone said the goal in the beginning is simply to make lots of shavings.
