Pan Sonic in a rare live appearance in London - sound is well distorted but how can a little video camera mic deal with that onslaught?

On 10th March 2007 on what would have been her 15th birthday, 99 red balloons were released at The Fleur de Lys pub in Widdington by Charlie's dad, Reg, to mark the launch of the new website www.writecharliesname.com designed to raise money for deprived children around the world. Reg explained "We want people to write Charlie's name in every country in the world any way they like - in the sand,...
Miles phrasing in this makes me vision seeing someone going onna shroom trip 🍄 trippin tf out
What a treasure this video is! 🙌
A real toe-tapper.
AllStarQuintet
raise your hand if you were there when Miles appeared with this group in central park, 1969. what a shock! i had last seen the 'second great quintet' live in 1967. i wasn't prepared for the Electric Miles. at least Dave Holland played the acoustic bass!
A wonderful rare clip of Miles Davis being introduced by Ronnie - amazing - everytime I visit the London jazz club and hear the theme tune - I get goosebumps - there is no club like it on earth - a British treasure! Hope all jazz lovers had a wonderful International Jazz Day yesterday! Cescalovesjazz!
Honestly I can't stand this never could.
hopefully the full video of this gets unearthed someday!
Fax cus Wayne shorter went off dis night!!
マイルスの映像って、圧倒的にヨーロッパが多くて、本国アメリカは驚くほど少ない。なんなんだろうね。 こんな映像、初めて見たよ。フルで残っていないのかな?見たい。
Just noise. But in 1969 it was artistic noise.
The intere concert is not recorded. Why??????
What an amazing clip. Five years earlier and it was my funny Valentine. Suddenly it's this atonal voodoo. Such brave playing. Love some of the reactions this generates. Love it or hate it this band weren't afraid yet the critics accused him of being commercial. Miles didn't give a shit!
Miles never did he was unique
Miles was an artist. Playing Kind of Blue for the rest of his life was not what he wanted. Grow up and listen.
Roy Kelleher you know what comes to my mind after reading your comment? Music illiterate. What makes you think anyone cares what you think when trash talking one of the greatest improvising ensembles ever? I actually feel sorry for you. It's not only sad that your not able to hear the brilliance of the music but even worse that your proud of being stupid. Godspeed to you. You certainly need it.
The emperors new clothes comes to mind. Not music to my ears!
Not melody to your ears perhaps, but luckily there is more to music than ditties and nursery rhymes. It's not Miles Davis fault that you can't handle hard bop. Play some Glenn Miller and simmer down, grandma.
Brilliant!
Anyone who says this is shit hasn't heard The same track from Bitches Brew. You really need all that texture, or it only has horizontal detail. TV doesn't broadcast the right frequencies. This quintette is great though!
The Bootleg Series Vol. 2 of this band has been released!! Everyone check it out!!
Monderfile WesHall is great release of four concert 👍
So tough, love it, "go ahead Jack!"
How many times I have wished that I were just a few years older, so I could have experienced the man with the horn.
Each to his own, i guess. I suspect there are people who'd accept anything Miles did, even if it was just a fart. One of the dislikes is mine.
@0428mar I thought CZcams was about sharing music and opinions, so long as they aren't offensive of course! To quote Ronnie Scott, "Jazz sounds like a pet shop on fire to some people!"
Now that's challenging!
@0428mar: Thanks, I will. You and your friends could benefit from seeing an Otolaryngologist. козел
what r these guys talking about
I saw Peter Sellers do this at the beginning of Blake Edwards' film, The Party.
@freeeeeeedy bababadalgharaghhtakamminarronnkonnbronntonneronntuonnthunntrobarrhounawnskawntoohoohoordenenthur-nuk! it does. I like your word
I am really sorry but i just dont get it... absolute WANK... maybe all the table candles were burning opium or something... I would ask for my money back!!! sorry guys.. but I suppose that is Jazz for you....
Yeah, what would Miles know about what Jazz is...
And so you think Chick Corea would be wasting his time with Miles then??!!
@wilfwat I'm really jealous of you, man! That must've been amazing!
It's not the last because I saw this band at the Colonial Tavern in Toronto, Canada about 1 month later on Dec. 9th. It was a Saturday afternoon matinee at the end of a week long gig and it only cost $1.50! As a wide eyed 15 year old I was never the same after that!!!
Pretty sure this was miles' last club gig ever
Thanks for this amazing clip of the "Lost Quintet". I heard them play two nights in July of '69 at Juan Les Pins,Antibes. RTF filmed both nights for television. Hopefully the film will be made available. They were incredible concerts of ferociously creative music, played at the highest level.
This must be a fucking joke...The recomended video I'm getting while watching Pan Sonic is FUCKING DJ TIESTO.Anyway,Pan Sonic are brilliant, electronic music stripped to the bare minimum. You just can't get wrong with that.
great gig.... but then again, never been to a bad Fall gig yet. Mark E Smith is always brilliant and never really disappoints me!!!!
