Once compression is done, you should have headroom to increase gain if you need to give vocals more presence, to bring the vocals to the front of the band.

How do you add a new headset?

I wonder if the old recordings that were done on actual analog tape sound like they do (better) because they mixed into the tape instead of adding it after the mix was done. I appreciate the way you set up the comparisons, great video!

If you think Logic's Plugin Manager it's good (and of course it is) you have to try out Plugsearch. I installed it two years ago and I never looked back. Even now I don't care about reorganizing the new plugins I install. Plugsearch makes it for me. I cannot recommend it enough. Will have to have a look to that Particle....looks nice. How the hell did you know I was wondering for how to do this!!!!!!! It’s driving me nuts keeping track of my plugins … sometimes I even forget I have one and only remember later. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!!! At last I can get my plugins properly organised. My only question is if the plug-in manufacturer will successfully update the plugin when those roll around? I’m assuming it hasn’t actually been moved and all that stuff will still work properly.

Ok, but don't forget to invert the phase on the bottom snare. the bottom mic is usually 180º oposite compared to the top one and if you don't invert its phase, you end up mixing nearly the same signal 180º out of phase and you loose low body by phase cancelation.

This is the second excellent video I've watched tonight (two different channels) on EQ and Compression for piano...and it's soooo refreshing. It's restored my faith in CZcams. i was beginning to think we were sinking into a mire of people going 'whassap guys' and ingratiating themselves as some sort of TV personality. We don't give a sh*t about that. THIS here is what we want. Intelligent, informative, gimmick-free and focussed with the least fuss.

Can someone help me understand which is best for live singing to downloaded cover music … if using Logic pro with for example Audient ID 14 mkll as I have bought for recording but also use this set up for live events or if I am better off to buy for example the voice processor Boss VE-22 that I am looking into right now… Do I need that too? Is that a better choice for live events no matter if it is on social media from home or singing on the street? Thanks for explain good pros and cons…🎉

I don't understand the output setting in this template. When I connect aux to my Mac and play it in service, all the audio, including click and guides are being played to front of house.

Waves SSL Channel strip on EVERY guitar channel. Use high pass at 90-100 to pull out low end mud. (listen) Dial back the input level so you can turn up/get the right input signal ....... on your track in the DAW. Thanks, Andrew.

In Australia, I typically recommend JAG headsets. At around $400 Australian bucks, you get a mic very close to a DPA

I'd disagree with your assertion that feedback is frquencies resonating too much. Feedback occurs, when the level of from the speakers /PA, into the mic, exceeds that of the level the original source.
