Kansas City Educator’s Winning Whiskers Help Raise Money for Elementary Students
Current Wahl Man of the Year, Chris McNeil, will soon hand over his crown to the next Wahl ‘Benevolent Beards’ Contest winner, but in the meantime, we continued to support his charity ‘Books and Barbers,’ which provides haircuts, books, and mentorship to elementary school students within the Kansas City Public Schools District. Our barbershop was parked at JunteenthKC on Saturday, June 15, 2024, where we gave free beard trims and donated $5,000 to Chris’ charity.

I find it easy to attach the fixed combs. I find it hard to attach the adjustable combs. They don't stay on. Not sure you attach them same way. Seems to work better attaching them "back to front." Is there a video on attaching those?

He's got a curly beard, (like mine but thicker 😢) and you can't get very pointy with curly hair. He probably could've gone slightly sharper than he did though.

When the oil is finished can one use shaving spirit to clean the machine?
I think that Shaving spirit contains alcohol or water, which is not good at all for clipper blades cause there is no lubrication. I advise you either oil made for clippers, or 3in1 oil. Oiling is very important. Have a nice day.

What is this screw good for?
The screw allows you to achieve maximum performance from the clipper when perfectly adjusted, as shown in the video.

@@paulluckner411 It affects the speed of the motor. When turning it you will hear the motor slowing down and it runs all lumpy, almost like it's gone 'out of time'.

I’m sorry but this is just a horrendous “guide”. No explanation of anything whatsoever. Wtf is section 1,2,3&4?? How do I do a rocking motion? How do I do the back of my head? And why would you choose this guy to do you tutorial when he a) has virtually no hair and b) just skips half of it bc his hair is already where he wants it to be? This is without a doubt the worst tutorial I have ever seen for anything, period.

I don't know I that little brush is useful. We all know hair gets in between the blades sandwiched between the plates. For a more thorough cleaning one would have to dismantle the blades. I for one use an old toothbrush.
I had to disassemble mine and used a toothbrush to clean it too.

How many milimeters are each guard you use?
Our clippers typically come with ten guards ranging from 1.5mm to 25mm. In this video, Cylus starts with a #1/2 guard (1.5mm) on his sides and then uses a #1 guard (3mm) as he works toward the top of his head. #1/2 - 1.5mm #1 - 3mm #1 1/2 - 4.5mm #2 - 6mm #3 - 10mm #4 - 13mm #5 - 16mm #6 - 19mm #7 - 22mm #8 - 25mm
I'd like to have him cut the hair across the top with the clippers and a #2 guard and then cut the back and sides up high all the way around with the clippers and no guard, cutting the back and sides up high and as close as possible, so it would look like it had been shaved.

Hi Natalie, there is a power switch located on the left side of the trimmer. The trimmer is powered by a single AA battery which can easily be swapped by removing the battery cover on the back of the device.
