I know Snyder haters harp on about Superman is supposed to represent the best of us and shouldn't be dark, or violent, and want a happy my little pony and care bears feel, but what Snyder put together is exactly what I'm looking for in my comic book films. This and Man of Steel are two of my favourites. I prefer the darker Superman to the softer comical Reeves, which I didn't mind when I was younger. Preferred the darker Batman and Superman comics as well. There really was no reason for Gunn not to do his thing, for those Superman should represent the best of us fans, and let Snyder complete his vision, for those of us who prefer the slightly darker tone, and who wanted to see this journey to the end, especially since he was not even using the same actors. Gunn obviously wants all eyes and attention on him, and to be recognised as the guy who saved Superman. Well for me Superman didn't need saving, and now that I've been given no choice in which one I want to see, I choose not part with my cash for whatever Superman Gunn believes is best for me. Gutted he has marked, The Authority for himself for future development, that was one of my favourite comic reads.
