No doubt the Covid-19 pandemic has altered how we interact (or don’t) on a day-to-day basis. As an organization whose traditional residency program took great pride in providing a safe place for individuals to physically connect, in a respectful and meaningful way, and then work together to achieve a common goal, the socially-distant reality of Covid-19 has presented us with an opportunity to re-imagine how else we can instill our core values (belonging, respect, trust, and hope) in students using the “tool” of dance.

Our new BREAK Dance residency is a virtual "brain break" curriculum for students that was developed in response to teacher and principal requests (100% of survey respondents, both teachers and principals, asked for them).

BREAK Dance was developed because Breaks Reset Engagement, Attention and Knowledge.
