These are great for bicyclists, but I have found them handy and compact for motorcycling. Clamp the tail light on your luggage rack or signal stalk or frame, and use the flashing mode for emergencies. Clip the headlight on one of your handlebar levers for a work light or map light. Carry it in your hand for a flashlight. They use two (each) CR2032 Lithium batteries, and claim 70 hour runtime on...
1985 Yamaha Venture Royale walk-around

1985 Yamaha Venture Royale XVZ1200DN, Trunk and Saddlebags were removed while replacing rear tire, and preforming some additional maintenance and cleaning. I mounted a Bridgestone Battlax BT45 120/90-18 Rear tire on the Front, and a Kenda Kruz 140/90-16 on the Rear.

It doesn't show very well, but the sky was an odd yellow color. I took a few still pictures, followed by this video. Lightning strikes can be seen around 1:20 and 4:22. August 7th, 2011 - Dent County, Missouri @ 8:10pm Central.

Bob running two of the trains. At one point the blue engine, on the inside track, breaks away from the pack and goes for a joy ride. A lot of work (Bob would say stress relief, for me that would be motorcycling) was invested in this layout. I appreciate him allowing me to film and photograph this.

Those are the locks for windsheild...if it will still move up and down.

Man, I have been looking around for the standard features of this 1991 bike for the longest. I am going to buy a 1991 Goldwing Aspencade this weekend, and this video did a complete walk around of the controls... I don't know that you meant to do that, but it helped me tremendously. Thank you. :) Looking forward to my first ride, and many years to come.

Hi. Nice bike. One question though, and it's something thats bugging me, what is the dial by the ignition switch for? Just under your key ring, and to the left of the big goldwing badge. Thanks.
Graham, I believe that is the Fade (front to rear) control for the stereo.

My 94 is different,but the radio is there so could be front/rear speaker control or intercom volume bias...not really sure.

+bigimac86 Thanks! I now have a 1999 50th Anniversary SE, bought with 92,xxx miles, but the first owner took very good care of it. I didn't realize how much I missed the 1500, til I got back on one-awesome machines.

oh btw yep ive owned Harleys got a 05 roadking now with 10,000 miles on it this old Honda will bust its ass and ride like a caddy but dnt get me wrong love my hog and wnt part from it they are not the bikes that most Harleys owners make thm ou tto be no compariosion to a Honda gold wing

@ wheels - My first one was an upturned riding lawn mower deck, from a Jacobson (Homelite) single-blade model, about 28" in diameter, with a squirrel cage blower forcing air through the spindle tube, and lump charcoal for heat.
This is fantastic, ingenuity at its best. I'm at present collecting bits and pieces to make my own forge (again). The first one I made out of a modified metal trash can lined with fire clay. It worked well but need something a bit more open.
Thanks! Tough, this one was sold a couple of years ago..."The motorcycle's always prettier on the other side of the street" kind of thing. Currently riding a 1998 Honda Pacific Coast 800, and plan to keep it around for a while. Have had 5 Goldwings, none of which were bad choices, and will always have a soft spot for the 4-cylinder variety. The GL1800 will spoil you quickly, and I have only had a test ride on one, but NICE! wow first of that's cool but i cant believe it i have been looking for that rim the anvils mounted on for days i found one in descent shape in the woods now its a steam engine fly wheel you know much on it thanks
I think you could use 1/4" for a while before burn out. I was fortunate to find the 1/2" as scrap where i was working, and at the time it was a steal at $.02 per lb. If you are able to line it with fire brick or some type of clay, the 1/4" should do well, and could probably be even thinner. I have sold the forge, and am not sure if I will return to blacksmithing in the near future. Thanks for your interest!

Didn't realise how thin the rear tyres were on these!! 160? Engines on these always sound great, and tight.
I used my Cruise Control frequently. Similar to some automobiles, the Wing's Cruise had a master switch, if you will. I left mine on continuously, then when I wanted to activate, I merely had to press the "Set" button. I didn't catch that when I originally posted the video, but noticed it recently, and had to refresh my memory as to why it was on. I have not had the GL for a couple of years, so had forgotten about it. Thanks for the inquiry!
