Ice Age Trail - Highland Lakes to Underdown Part 2 of 2
I'm back on the Ice Age Trail for another section hike! This trip was planned for 3 days, but I ended up doing it in 2 days. I begin halfway through the Highland Lakes Segment and head west, completing the Parrish Hills, Harrison Hills, Alta Junction, and Underdown Segments. In this video, which covers the second day, I backpack from my campsite on Chain Lake to my pickup point at the western end of the Underdown Segment.

Another wonderful video! I noticed white bark trees in the "hills section" of Parish Hills (around 6:05). Were they Birch or Aspens?
When I hiked that segment in 2021 we shared the campsite on Chain Lake with a group that we deemed a “cult” - probably not, but they were a little odd lol

Thanks so much! Haha, no filter. I use dehydrated foods for dinners like Knorr sides or sometimes freeze dried Mountain House type meals. Bars, trail mix, crackers, skittles, cookies and tuna with tortillas for lunches and breakfasts.

Your so right about enjoying a walk on a old road trail where you can look around and not have to always look out for tree roots like on a forest trail. I’m not ashamed to admit it that those no seeum roots have gotten the best of me more than once and doing the head first old face plant in the dirt gets really old. First time watching your channel. Keep up the good work.
