How To Give Your Cat Asthma Inhaler - Aerokat
I have to do this now but haven't started. I can't get her to eat the steroids. Thinking about crushing it and mixing in food. ??????
We didn't have much success with crushing but check out the "pill poppers"
@@nicantolick i got her to eat the food with the steroids mixed in. I am now doing the inhaler 2x a day and going good so far.
Flow check
Thank you for this video. Can you please share with me how many times a day you do this for your cat? My 14 year old kitty gets 1 puff every night.
That's what we're doing too. Flovent once a night but we only do it seasonally. The albuterol when needed
Omg she looks just like my Bimbo, who also just got diagnosed with hyperthyroidism on top of his stage 4 CKD. They could be twins! He’s on my page. Check him out ❤️
They really do! Good luck!
Do they just breathe in the medication or do you press something?
No buttons, they just breath in the air from the chamber once sprayed
Genial♥️
Hi nic, hope Lucy is doing well. My cat just got diagnosed with asthma I’m pretty scared what should I expect?
sorry to hear but we've been able to successfully manage for many years. We've used albuterol for post attack recovery and flovent for seasonal maintenance. The two can be used together as well without interfering. You'll learn when the bad seasons are and how often you need to give. Also interesting to note that I use the same dosages for my asthma so I can save a lot of money by running it through my personal insurance.
How about being realistic and spread the mess around as it's normally seen in real life situations instead of lining it up in an unrealistic way. Lets see how well that mop functions running over the mess.
I am having a rough time w this vac mop mopping. I vacuum regurarly, it works great. Can't use the shark cleaning solution because it left residue like cloudy haze and if you walk barefoot(when floor dry) it leaves footprints... I started using vinegar & water and still sticky streaky, no matter how many times i re- mop AND change mop pads during this whole proceedure. Costs me about $5 in replacement pads to " clean" my floors.....= streaky, cloudy film. Hate it😞😞i pretty much just vacuum w it, it vacuums great as stated. We don't have kids, we are not spillers and if we do I always wipe my spills by hand in between if need be. Guess I'll be going back to old method of mop water and gross mop...the very reason i bought this gadget! Oh- and i vacuum first, throw out pad, replace w new pad-THEN mop. I never go back & forth -you end up w a dirty mess on wet pad
check out the Shark Hydrovac, no pads and streak free
How old is your cat? I've had my kitty for about 5 years now, but she didn't get asthma attacks until she was pushing 3. She get her inhaler twice a day because hers is really bad now. I'm also taking her to the doctor for an anti inflammatory shot to open up her airwaves. It's scary when they have those attacks, I feel helpless like I can't do anything. Thanks for the video. She gets treats too.
Love this😍
Too hard to hear what was being said over the sound of the vacuum.
I had to put my boy boog down because of feline asthma because I didn't have 1900 $ he was my best friend he helped with my anxiety he would come kiss me and cuddle me when I would have an anxiety attach I had to put my best friend to sleep because I was not rich im freaking out right now it feels like it's not real I can't even go in to my room without crying just say a life is worth way more then money but to the vet is just another day of work.😭😭😭😭😭😭
I'm sorry to hear that 😞
I'm so sorry :( Losing a pet is so awful :(
So sorry for your loss
Grazie!
prego!
I wish it was that easy for me.
**We just starting using the inhaler on my cat "Miss Jones." She has no interest in treats or catnip. She hid under the bed for 2 hours after she had a treatment this morning. We're very gentle with her, but she takes no prisoners. Now she's hiding behind the couch. She also gets oral meds that I break up and put in her wet food. That's a lot of fun too...NOT!!! I may need to use her inhaler on myself from all the stress. She's 14 years old. She has no teeth, one working lung, asthma, muscle loss from neglectful previous owners who I adopted her from 2 years and three months ago, and she's costing us more than a new car in vet bills, but we love her, and I'd give up food to keep her alive and healthy, and she now thinks I'm her evil step mother.**
You are a sweet person taking good care of your kitty. My kitty Annikah is 17 and needs to start on an inhaler too. Her apatite isn't great so treats don't interest her very much. I will have to give her lots of love and petting and hope I can train her to tolerate the mask on her face.
My cat was just diagnosed with asthma and they said during the next visit we will discuss the Aerokat spacer. I’m hoping it goes well and helps her asthma.
Is it any advice ,where to get pumps,as they si expensive, one is £ 30,and hos long and his often you given inhaler to you kitten, thanks
U can use a paediatric puffer... Alternatively u can use a plastic cup by poking a slit at the back
Seems like the clutch plate rivets got broken off .
We give the same treats and do it the same way. Thanks for sharing. It helps people who may be a little afraid know they can do it.
Siamese cats tend to have a lot to say.
